  1. Hi there, I am a pre-nursing student will about all of my pre-reqs completed. I am seeking a job in the medical field to gain experience but I do not have the Nursing Fundamentals/principles courses down that you normally take after you are into the Nursing program. Does anyone suggest any jobs that I should look into?? Or are there simple classes that I could take to put me into a medical position before my RN????
  2. Hi there, Let's just go over my situation. I am 22 years old. I work 40-50 hours ago to support myself (rent, bills, car, phone, other typical items) I work as much as I believe any other person my age should. I was attending a community college just jumping around from major to major when I finally stopped because I felt as if I were wasting a big chunk of money. I am now older and far more mature and am ready to go back. I am so interested in becoming a nurse but do not know which field to pursue and with that being said, which program/institution to go into. My time is precious being that I have to work to survive financially so naturally I looked into programs at MCI. After reading many reviews about this institution I am second guessing what to do. This program does not seem legit to me as far as furthering a career as an RN and being able to have a successful career. I do live in the Richmond, VA area so my first choice was doing the Bon Secours program at JTCC. The program is so competitive and so set in stone that I feel as if I would never be able to attend work and class at the same time. I would love to go to VCU/MCV health systems program but unfortunately with my school background I strongly doubt that I would be allowed admissions. At VCU/MCV they start at a BSN. However, MCI offers a BSN program. Is that transferable? Can someone please help me? I keep reading that MCI does not transfer. And what does it mean about COMPACT LICENSE and only being able to get jobs in other COMPACT STATES? And there only being 10-15 of these 'Compact States'. I desperately need help. Someone!! Anyone! Im 22 and strongly confused. Someone please persuade me to doing the 'right' thing!!
