  1. For those in California who are dual certificate in FNP and Psych I have a question please. I'm in the process of endorsing my License from another state but very confused as to what forms to fill out for NP. Do I need to fill out 2 NP applications to cover both FNP and PMHNP or do I need to fill out the general NP one and the Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse which says listing so very confusing. If anyone will help me out, I will be grateful. I have called BON over and over , not able to get a hold of a human. I have also sent out an email but no one has responded. I'm desperate Thanks KB

  3. My family has finally decided we are relocating to California by end of this year. I am getting ready to start the endorsement process for CA which I am definitely not trilled about. We are looking at Sacramento Area and Riverside County ( Temecula) area depending on where I can land a good job. I am reaching to see what are the salary ranges around these areas? When I look at jobs on both indeed and Glassdoor, the range is far and wide, difficult to narrow it down. I currently work IP Psych and love it so will preferable like that setting. I am open to both Psych NP and FNP as I currently have both certificates. I have 4 years as a FNP and 2 as a Psych NP. Thanks
  4. How is Temecula overall? I looking at it in terms of relocating. I have young children so safety and school ratings are a big deal to me. Thanks
  5. I own my own practice ( telepsych) in the Seattle surburbs and charge $300 for new psych eval 60 minutes and $150 follow-ups 30 minutes. I am doing just fine. I initially started as cash pay which was great but then COVID hit and business has been slow. I think that is due to the fact that most people are holding on the cash unsure of what the economy future holds. I am now going through credentialing with most commercial insurances to grow faster. I work at my private gig Thursday, fri and every other sat. I still have a full time job with a large healthcare organization here In Pierce working mon, tues, wed 12 hrs IP psych and make 96/hr with full benefits, student loan repayment, 30 days vaction, + 1 week CME time off with $2500/ yearly, all my licenses and DEA are paid for. I think Seattle NP market is better. I am both Family and Psych NP. When I started almost 3 years ago as a FNP, I made $ 120 and got offers up till 145 with three years of experience. A friend of mine got a job offer around Federal Way full time brand new PMHNP at $160.00. I think that is pretty good considering we have no income tax. I personally don't think our property taxes are that bad. Housing in WA is not as bad unless you want to live in King County or Snohomish county which is quite expensive. I bought a home in pierce county for a decent price at 460,000 5br/3 bth 290SqFt. My property tax is about $4,600/ yearly. I looked into property taxes in Sacremento CA for a $500,000 home, was averaging about 6,000/yr. I love CA and not too crazy about WA due to the bipolar gloomy days but when I do the math, we are better off here in WA. Owning an NP business in WA is easier, faster and less restrictive. I am hoping CA will eventually move to Full practice within the next 5 years so that I can relocate but till then.
  6. Hi Carlos, I’m actually very interested in this. Do you mind me asking which schools you applied to and where you will be going? Are you getting funding or loans? Did you take LSAT or was it required? I am contemplating looking into JD in health law and hope to work in forensics or with insurance companies. I have MSN/MPH and currently practicing as a FNP AND PMHNP Thanks
  7. Where did you decide to move to? I live in Seattle and I must say though the pay is good, it's quite expensive to live here. Psych NPs make more here than FNPs and I am both certified.
  8. Hey did you already pick a date yet?? iam so nervous and will be taking boards in 3 weeks. I dont feel ready at all. good luck with your studies
  9. thanks y'all for replying i was getting really nervous that no one will reply. I finally decided to buy the 3 weeks and iam supplementing it with Kaplan QBank. I love the review content but iam not too sure about the questions as compared to Kaplan. I feel like most of the NCBN focuses more on content while Kaplan is really tough.
  10. Please has anyone ever used NCBN before to prepare for NClex Rn? Iam thinking of buying to supplement with Kaplan QBank so please reviews will be greatly appreciated. I am a nervous wreck because i have 1mth to take boards. Thanks
  11. Please can i have a copy too i have less than 2 weeks to take nclex, thanks in advance
