I took Kaplan and I passed the NCLEX the first time with 75?. I was worried about my scores as well I have scored as low as 42% in the qbank and maybe 3 or 4 times in the 70. It is really not not scores but you are suppose to practice strategies because that is what you need to pass the test and of couse reading the rationals. In time you will get better.

It is not always about ABC, you have to think about what will happen to each pt if you don't see them right away. Some pt can wait an extra 5 mins and will not causes any harm but other you need to see right away. Basically ask your self which patient is more unstable in the group that they give you( if they can wait 5 mins they are stable).

I had a copy of the hurst review which I found to be helpful when it came to contents, but I also took the Kaplan live class review and that helped me tremulously, the questions where step up the exact same way, and I was able to recognize when I was getting higher lever questions on my test. In the Kaplan Qbank I was scoring from 42-73% and My trainer question range from 47-64%. I passed my NCLEX with 75 question the first time. Try not to pay too attention on the scores but read the rational but more importantly I think pay attention to what the question is asking and when you answer it ask your self if this answer makes sense and does it answer the question that is being asks. It was hard for me at first but you have to think different when it comes to NCLEX.

Did you do the Kaplan program or you just bought the book to study from? Im really sorry, I understand the feeling that your are going through at the moment.

You did very well on trainer #7. Kaplan says that you need just 60% or higher, my friend did trainer 7 and got a 59% and passed the NXCLEX with 75 questions. I plan on doing my trainer this weekend my test is next week I hope I can score as high as you did, I have yet to get a 67% on any of the trainer questions. The last one is suppose to be a mock NCLEX exam so your good.

No problem. Well I test myself in the morning than I try to read my saunders book for content. I would like to read the whole thing but I am running and that what scares me because when I do the Kaplan questions I feel that I need to go over that area, but its just so much. I really praying for he best, but I am practically studying all day but taking came of things that goes on in my life, its just too much

Well my score in the Qbank at the moment is 54% so your better than me, trainer question we probably average about the same. The last one I did was #6 and I got a 63%, but I really don't know how I did that I felt that I was just guessing which really scare me. I take my test in two weeks and I have already had numerous mental breakdown because of my Qbank score especially when I score in the 40%, it really depressing I am scared to death about that test. I have been doing the delegation book when I calculate I average in the 60% so between that and Kaplan I an very worried about failure. So far everyone from my school that have taken the test have passed and I afraid that I will be the first to be unsuccessful on the test and I really don't want that to happen. I understand you completely, I am just gland that I am not alone on this feeling.

The good pop up is when you try to re-register on preason vae web site it will tell you to contact your board of nursing meaning that yo pass, but if it ask you for a credit card it means that you were not successful. I suppose to take my test in two week and scared to death, two of my friends did it and got the good and found out the next day that they pass officially. You can take do the trick when you get home after taking the test.

Congrats on passing your test. I take mine in 3 weeks but im just stressed out at the moment, I took the Kaplan program and my score are low but I am hitting the marker. Did you do content review or just question only?

That really motivating I plan on taking the NCLEX in October for the first time and Im signed up for Kaplan. I have the question to the Davis book installed o my computer but not the book itself but I score in the 60 when I test myself. The question I feel are pretty hard. How did you do when you answer those question and any suggestion that you can offer to me to help me tackle that monster called the NCLEX?

Im really sorry to hear that. I wish I had some advice for you but I plan on taking my exam next moth for the first time and I signed up for Kaplan and Im doing it next week actually. I saw a lot of post from people who said that Kaplan really helped them out, what was it about Kaplan that you thought wasnt helpful. From the previous post that I have read they said that the questions were similar to the NCLEX.

Your probably right about that, but seeing the scores are not helping the situation at the moment!
