Has anyone gotten accepted into Barry's traditional option Baptist Scholars program yet? I've been waiting for a response for about 2 weeks and the suspense is killing me!

Acolo002 did you get a call today? Or did you recieve a letter like they said you would? I found out of one other persons acceptance yesterday, they are going into Nova's program. What school are you going to? My interview for baptist was exactly two weeks ago! The suspense is killing me.

Hey guys! I'm new to this thread . I turned in my packet last week on the deadline date and I already have my interview this Friday the 24th. I'm super nervous but working on possible questions I might be asked. Has anyone been accepted to the program for their respective schools? I just wanna know how long it will take for a decision once the interview has taken place. I also wanted to know if everyone that applies gets an interview? This scholarship means so much to me...

I'm still in shock!! lol I'm sure it will sink in for me soon, its just been long overdue. I been trying to get into nursing school for about a year! I also picked section 2! It seemed the best pick.

I just registered for classes today, and I'm just taking everything in. The conselor suggested two books tor review over the summer. I will be looking into buying them this week. Are you doing anything else to prepare? I want to start buying books, and all other supplies. However the orientation is so far away!

I made it in!! August here we come! Ebonell I will be going in next week to register for classes, I am so nervous!

ebonell24 did you get accepted into the program with any prereqs still left to do? I was pending acceptance into the program with the completion of two classes. I finished those last week and I am up for review again, but I'm still missing the bioethics class and a computer req. The counselor told me I neededto be within 3 classes to be accepted, but I'm nervous about how short of a time there is left to start classes in August. Thanks, Mari71089

You need a minimum of 3.2 gpa to start the nursing programat BARRY

Future Nurse1 I am currently finishing up my last prerequisites before I start the traditional program at Barry. Barry has gotten very strict and does not accept any students into the program officially if they do not have all prereqs completed. You have to be within 2 classes to accepted into the program. But will not be able to officially register until those classes are completed. You also have to make sure that you fall within the 3.2 gpa that is required. If you are interested in starting make sure to make an appointment with the Nursing counselor at Barry. She will go over your transcript and let you know what you are missing in order to begin.

Hey sheeco, well from what the conselour told me, when your pre reqs are done you need to send a transcript showing that so they can then "consider" your application to the BSN program. She also let me know that if your gpa, pre reqs are not to their requiste then they do not consider you at all. I suggest you make an appointment with a conselour so they can better advise you, which is whta I am going to do. I do not want to pay the enrollment fee if there is no chance of getting into the program by January. That's really weird no one contacted you, I applied about a month ago and since I applied every week I have recieved a different letter and I also did not have any problem with asking questions with the MY BARRY acct ... How weird! I can understand how fustrated you must be, you just have to be on top of things! Where theres a will theres a way , just dont quit! About the bioethics class im not sure too much about it I have never taken it and when I spoke to the conselour she told me all my classes would be fullfilled once micro lab, biochem, and lab were finished... I really need to go ahead and make an appt with a conselour I am always hearing different things ! I really want to make sure that I have good chance of getting in .. I know their website is not very user friendly. It does not explain things very well. I spoke to an admissions counselour that was assigned to me. She told me I was not accepted into the traditional BSN program because Im still taking some prerequisites. That's why she said they placed me into the pre-nursing. UGGH its fustrating. I also believed you needed reccomendation letters but they are not necesarry I was told. An admissions counselour said are only necessary if applying to their masters program.

BARRY did not deny me they accepted mebut into the pre nursing program which is what I did not apply for. I applied for the entry level program the BSN program. I dont have any W's . Im supper confused I emailed the admissions counselour I was assigned to. I way to anxious!

i just checked my mail and i got an acceptance letter from Barry but not for the entry level nursing , i got into the prenursing program. Im so confused I already have my AA.Why would they place me in the pre nursing?

I just got accepted into Barry Pre nursing program. I am a bit confused because i applied for the general BSN track. Is it due to a missing pre req? I was also reading on their site that admission into their prenursing doesnt guarantee a spot in nursing school. I ama bit discouraged. I dont know what to do... Does anybody have any insight??!
