Does anyone know anything about nurse aesthetician's, how to get into that specialty ect. Since I'm having such trouble trying to get a job in a hospital, this specialty looked interesting, not the direction I thought I would go, but it could be fun...
I don't mean to be rude do sorry of this comes off that way. But as a non believer I respect every ones right to practice any religion they choose and It's their right to have your own believe system whatever it may be with out others judging them or...
I'm atheist also, and used to work at a catholic hospital, whenever the pastor/reverend was on the unit he would offer to prey with all the staff, I just politly declined as did most the staff. If you happen to be in the room when a pt. or family wa...
I've had 5 interviews in the last few months, and haven't got any of the jobs...apparently I just suck at interviewing. I feel like when people hear that I work in home health I'm automatically put at the bottom of the list. I work 12 hour shifts, d...

I was wondering if any could tell me what a nursing clinical research coordinator does, and what kind of interview questions would you expect them to ask for that position? Thanks!

I'm in a similar situation to you, 2010 RN, only have experience in home health, trying to find a job at a hospital. While the hospitals do hire you as an "experienced nurse", its because they can't label you as a new-grad anymore. All the interview...
Just from reading you're post, my inital thought was you seem to have a lot more passion for working in a lab. I think nursing might be frustrating for you, not being able to go deeper into the science of it. In nursing school I was the one asking my...
How do you say it's not you it's me to your employer? I work as a home health nurse working nights. Most my patients I do very little to no nursing I'm no more than a glorified babysitter watching a kid sleep. I'm going insane! I just want to use my ...

I wouldn't put that first job on your resume unless you really have to. Sounds like you have experience at another place for long enough that I wouldn't worry about it.
I have to disagree with most of you, I think food should be looked at as part of the treatment plan for patients, If it's a cancer patient who's wasting away or a 90 yr old on their death bed, then by all means eat as much and whatever you'd like. bu...
Hi! I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering what you all ended up doing, and did you find a way to integrate nursing and nutrition? I've been an RN for 2 years in home health, and can't find a job anywhere else. I'm very bored at my job an...
Hi all, with the childhood obesity epidemic growing, you would think there would be more programs, clinics, research being done, in turn opening more jobs. I'm very interested in working in that specialty, but can't seem to find any jobs, or ever ...
Hi all, I've been a nurse for 2 years, and I've been stuck in peds home health the whole time. I can't find a job at a hospital to save my life! I know they're are plenty of home health nurses out there that love their job, but i work nights, and ...
The same thing happened to me. It was nursing theory and i got a 73%, passing was 74%. It put me a full year behind for graduation because of the way clinicals were set up but I re-took the class and got a 98% and passed the rest of my classes just ...
as home health nurses we're with our patients 8-12 hours a day, so we tend to get pretty close to them and their families, I was wondering do any of you get presents for your patients for their birthday or christmas/hannuka? I never have, but I was c...
