  1. I think we are going fully computerized by April, I cannot wait till them. I think it's going to make everything a lot easier in general.
  2. I think my biggest problem is being able to read all the crappy doctors writing and making sure it's been done or in the computer.
  3. I have found that even after 7months of working in med/Surg I am still having a hard time. Most days I do fine my patients are fine but I find myself constantly missing things. I get thrown off by the littlest things. The main thing I'm trying to concentrate on is doing my assessments right away, and chart them as I do them but I worry about orders not being carried out and meds to be given. I feel as if I should know more and catch more mistakes do more but that isn't happening. The whole point is, how can I be a better nurse?
  4. Looking for tall and smaller scrub bottoms I'm 5'8 and wear size 2-4 reg pants I wear Dickie's pants and length wise are ok but I look like boy bottoms. I'm not too curvy but I love nurses who wear tighter pants mine are super loose in not talking like skinny jeans but maybe 1/4 off from the width of my reg scrub pants please help
  5. As an LVN on a Med/Surg floor we have 1:5 nurse to patient ratio days and nights. Most days have a secretary but not during nights and one CNA for the whole floor and if the census drops they get cancelled. It may be because I'm new but I'm running up and down the whole hospital everyday. Oh and did I mention we don't have pharmacy at night but one house supervisor that fills new meds for new admission and no central supply only house supervisors do that. As LVN we have an RN cover our IVPB and IVP meds
  6. Just some clarification anatomy was incorporated into my LVN program, I am now going to take the RN program prerequisite science classes that includes anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and microbiology. And I will re read all this when I find myself needing extra help, advise, and words of encouragement ☺
  7. I have never take Bio125 the anatomy college course but if course I've taken anatomy in my Lvn nursing program I know anatomy but not down to each groove and nerve
  8. Thanks guys everything is helpful, I forgot to mention that my class includes a lab also. They have these test where the fake bodies are laid out with pins pointed to the parts that have to be known and it's timed so I'm really not looking forward to that ?
  9. Hi guys I'll be starting with my first nursing prerequisite class anatomy this fall and I'm so scared, never taken any of these classes I usually have to study extra hard and work extra hard for my grades. I work full time as a LVN on the med/Surg floor at a hospital. Any suggestions as to how to study or what to expect would really help. Thnk you! ?
