  1. One of my favorite books is "Josie's Story: A Mother's Inspiring Crusade to Make Medical Care Safe" by Sorrel King. It's not written by a nurse but by a mother whose daughter died due to a medical error. As a medical professional, it was a very moving read.
  2. I tend to work 16 hour shifts and I know that feeling well. Make sure you invest in some great shoes, exercise on your days off and stay hydrate through out your shift. Those are a few things that have made a difference for me. However, I always plan a lounging about or easy day after my 16 hour shifts, especially if I work two in a row. It's alright to take some time for yourself to rest and recover. Take care of yourself.
  3. Guide-Very helpful info. Thank you!
  4. Hello, I am currently in my last semester and I am excited to say that I will have my BSN this December. With that said, I don't know how to add my new title to my name. Should it be Name RN, BSN or Name BSN, RN. I have seen nurses on my floor use both. Thanks for your thoughts!
  5. At Thanksgiving dinner my sister was sharing about her latest checkup. Very straight faced she informed everyone that your bp should always be whatever your weight is over 80. She's a know it all that weighs 120lbs, it took me a while to stop laughing before I could explain her mistaken assumption.
  6. cb_rn I am really considering this program. If you've started it can you message me and tell me your thoughts?
