  1. You also do not have to be CPR certified to apply, just have to get certified before entering the program
  2. Welcome! I didn't really study for the NAT, but taking it during micro really helped me because a lot of it is on the test an it's fresh in your mind as well as some chemistry questions, do just refresh your memory on that stuff. I was mistaken about it only being nights and weekends this spring, there will be daytime as well, so no worries. And yes you will not get to count your points from micro since you are enrolled in it when applying. Hope that helps!
  3. I have both books but only willing to part with the micro book, but to be sure, do you know the exact book that you need?
  4. Well maybe I interpreted that wrong, but I don't know why they would bother putting that on the sheet if they were going to continue having it every semester anyways. I'll email cj tomorrow and get it straight.
  5. The green sheet says the next daytime only program is spring 2014
  6. That is correct. They have changed it for whatever reason, but spring 2013, summer 2013, and fall 2013 are all night and weekend programs only.
  7. It really just varies. Monday's are test days for two consecutive hours but each section starts at a different time so you won't know that til you are in the program. A 'typical' schedule would be 8-12 on Tuesday, 8-4 on Wednesday and 8-1 on Thursday. But day program schedules can really vary. Also, fall 2012 was the last daytime program until spring 2014, just fyi
  8. @Liamsmama I spoke with you the other day about turning down a seat. Looks like (if we make it in, again!) I'll be in the n/w program as well. Childcare is just too dadgum expensive! I did want to fill you in, night and weekend program is at the deerwood center except for Monday's when you take tests at north campus. I talked to someone today that us currently in their first term of the n/w program and they have test on Monday from 6-8, Tuesday thru Thursday is 6-9:30 and Saturday 8-1. But two of the classes are hybrid so they do not meet every week. Hope that helps! Can't wait to start this whole waiting process over again for the 4th time!
  9. Sorry! I meant to type I've had to decline my seat twice, hate when I can't type!
  10. I have to decline my seat twice and I just called and left a voicemail. I'm in again, so it doesn't seem to be a problem :). I totally know your pain of getting in, really wanting to go an not being able to, twice I've had to do that! And still may have to this time if I cannot find a sitter for my children, good luck in the future!
  11. I had 211, that's the nat score plus my class points.
  12. Checked my mailbox, and I'm in!
  13. Did anyone figure out which program they were assigned?
  14. Yay! I got the email too :). I was just trying to figure out if the letter showed if we were nights or days, either way its good news!
  15. wow, i'm surprised. that seems really low, but hey! whatever works :)
  16. Does anyone know what the cutoff was for last Spring's N/W program?....Just curious
  17. What a coincidence, I knew I couldn't be the only one hoping to get into to nursing school with a newborn, I'm pregnant, due the first week of November. I actually got accepted to the summer program, but along came baby, so we decided to wait. I also will be applying for the N/W program as I'm sure many of us are, goodluck to everyone :)
  18. Congrats to all of you who got in! I hope the beginning of the end is going well so far. I too got accepted for Summer but found out I was pregnant, due in Nov. and had to give up my seat, so goodluck and congrats to whoever got my seat :) I'm so happy for you guys and can't wait to be back on the road to finishing myself.
  19. Just wanted to say I got my acceptance packet yesterday, hang in there everyone! FYI, I had 196 pts. -Never thought I'd get in with that few points though, so have hope :)
  20. He's going to go to the preschool at the Church at Argyle right off Argyle Forest blvd. He'll be 4 so his will be free, but I want my daughter to go as well, she'll be 2, and its $215 a month for her, so we'll have to see if we can work that out. He's super excited about it, so I'm sure it will be great.
  21. We just moved into a house in Argyle, we are coming from the Town Center area, so I'm not too excited about moving away from the area we know and love so much, but my son will have a preschool just minutes from our house, and we will finally have a yard! Maybe we could set up a carpool, if we ever find out if we got in.
  22. You can make it up by not continuing to post to the thread that you have no business conversing in. Are you an FSCJ summer hopeful? No, so no need to interfere in our conversations. I'm sure there is a UNF summer hopeful thread, participate there.
  23. You just have to ignore people sometimes, and look beyond where their brain obviously can't go or where they are not willing for it to go. There are millions of people that go straight from highschool to college to a job. And there are millions of people that make pitstops along the way like getting married, having a kid or two, taking a vacation. Not all of our lives are full of nonstop school experiences filled with a keg run or two. Like I said, its healthier to acknowledge their stupidity and look past it. We can do it guys! Chins up!
  24. OH MY GOSH, I know! I dropped my application off at the end of last week, hoping to feel some relief, but they said 8 weeks, and there was no relief at all. Its a shame, we go from stressing out to get the most points, to stressing out during the waiting time, to stressing out while we're in the program (hopefully at least!)
  25. I am turning in my application today at North campus, but I'm not exactly sure where I'm supposed to be turning it in, does anyone know? Thanks!
