Everest College Ontario RN program
rena575 & Lheslie, Did the both of you attend the info session last week? Anyway, I'm taking mine on the 23rd & I still haven't had the time to study yet! And to my surprise I could not find the Hesi A2 study book at any bookstores (well, except online). Do you guys think it's worth spending some extra cash expediting the shipping cost if I buy it online?

Straight BSN at West Coast University
OMG!! I just found out about the LVN to BSN program when I checked the site earlier! Since you're starting early next year, can you give me information that's not listed on the site (like the 34 month tuition cost in particular)?

Aww, I'm so envious of you all! I really considered going to this school but I changed my mind and picked WCU instead. Anyway, congratulations to those who've already taken the HESI & good luck to those who are going to take it soon! Same here. I went to an LVN school but I've never taken any pre-req classes.

West Coast University
I just can't believe all the negativity I'm reading on this thread! I have friends who already graduated from this school, taken their boards not long after, all passed & they all found jobs at decent hospitals! Most importantly though, they never had any bad experiences with WCU. That being said, I've made up my mind & will follow their footsteps.

I haven't been around on the boards lately and I've missed a lot of important stuff about the school! Long, thank you very much for the detailed information! I'm really serious about going to this school even though I'm almost 50 miles away! In the meantime, I'll go through the packet and I'll definitely be asking questions afterwards. :)

California bon requires ssn before eligibility to take the nclex-rn
Obviously they're foreign graduate nurses who never attended school here in the US.

What Is The Total Cost Of Your LVN/LPN Program?
lemme guess, acc right? 1* what's the overall cost of your program? $18,900 * if u qualify for financial aid than what's the remaining amount that u have to pay overall? i'll have to look it up! * where's your school located? socal

Where are you planning on working after you graduate?
I agree with on that. But if you know someone who works at a hospital, nursing home, etc., that can get you in easily, then you don't have to worry about how bad the economy is. And I just happen to know quite a few people who can almost guarantee me a job once I get my license.

How long is your LPN Program??
To be exact, mine was a little over 12 months long. I kinda hated the schedule because the class started from afternoon until night time. My classes were from Mondays-Fridays in the first two terms. Then the remaining 3rd and 4th terms, I had Fridays off which was kewl! xD

Calling all "private" LVN students
Hmm... mind telling us the name of the school? Pacific college maybe? I'm planning to go back to school also, btw. WCU was my number one choice but too bad they don't offer the LVN-RN bridge anymore. There's only one school that I know of and it's Everest College (the Ontario metro campus).

California bon requires ssn before eligibility to take the nclex-rn
Just found out about this from a friend of mine last monday when she took her nclex-rn. Since she's not CA resident, she was informed that the next time she takes the exam, they'll start asking for her SSN. It's was very frustrating for her because if she doesn't pass the nclex, then it'll be impossible for her to retake it again.

West Coast University (Orange County)
I have a friend who graduated from WCU-OC (ASN degree) late last year. He said he didn't have a tough time with the teachers and class schedules. He highly recommended me to go there since I've been thinking about going back to school for quite some time now. Unfortunately, they don't have the 2 year program anymore. And indeed, WCU is pretty expensive, but it's all worth it in end ! =)
