Did my externship at NYP-Cornell and loved every minute of it. It was 10 weeks long, worked three 12 hour shifts a week and got paid $14/hr...they also decided to give us the option of staying throughout our senior year.

This summer I am taking Microbiology and Pathophysiology. Finally in the Fall I will be starting my clinicals. I will be taking Health Assesment, Nursing Care Concepts, Nursing Care of Adult and Aging, and a Developmental Psych class.

By train it is a 2 hour ride and by car it it 1 hour with no traffic and 1.5 hours with traffic. Commuting is hard, I know b/c I did it my senior year. Maybe you should look into staying near campus or on campus.

My research class is very boring, I'm fighting to stay awake every time we meet. I have also taken a Psychology research class and it was equally boring. All I can say is study, study, study. You need to learn a lot of new terms, so good luck.
