  1. just took this test and didn't pass they said I didn't get high enough score to be consider for further evaluation... I cant believe they base their decision on this crazy test
  2. Lovely... I am starting my Block 1 in August at CGCC its just nice to know what kind of teachers I will have... Thank you for sharing ArizonaSky...
  3. what is it? ftpn program... thanks.
  4. Yep, I took BIO 202 and BIO 205 last semester (which was Spring 2010) and I got A in every class. My teachers were looking at me like I was crazy, but hey... you got to do what you got to do, right? and I was working towards finishing up my pre-req's for Banner program which lovely closed their doors before I even got there (but its all other story:mad:). Anyway - just want to let you guys know - it is possibly!!! You CAN take these 2 classes and survive
  5. I had Music in World Cultures loooong time ago. I think it was fun and easy. As of "World Religions" - one of my friends took it long time ago in ASU they mentioned that it was good class (but I think Music class should be the easiest ) So, Hurrlybaby, did you pass HESI? I hope you did :)
  6. Well... its nice to know... thank you anon456 for the info....
  7. Hi, lie-lay was for sure I remember this one, as well as where to put the comma, chose the right verb, common nouns vs plural. I would say exam was a spit copy of study guide - which I opened, briefly (which I was not happy about it on exam) looked through and went for exam. If you are reading carefully and working on some exercises from the study guide - you will be fine:yelclap: Also, they have I believe 10 or 11 test options, so it does not mean, whatever question I got - you will have the same. Stop freaking out - go to study and you will do just fine!!! I know I know, you probably think - yeah its easy to say since you done it:icon_roll You will do great!!! Just relax, take your time and dont forget to breathe:smokin:
  8. To be honest I do not remember any vocabulary words (because I didnt really studied them ) Reading part was very easy. It took me I believe 3 hr... maybe less... but I was not on any hurry to finish - the beautiful thing that this test is not timed (like NET was) so you just relax and take your time :) and you will do fine. This test is much better than NET, due to no time limits. Good luck! Let me know how did you do.
  9. It just blows... they were promising "golden mountains" at March informational session and now what? Why they weren't honest with us a month ago? Not like it would change anything, although I would start looking for other options back then rather then now, when everything is booked already... Its just very upsetting:mad:
  10. i am so bummed :crying2: i just went to banner hospital web-site and what i saw:confused: thank you for your interest in the banner health nurse fellows program. at this time, we are phasing out this program and will not be considering any new applicants. the july 2010 cohort will be the final cohort of this program. i am sooooo sad, i took my last pre-reqs this semester thinking that i will apply for october cohort... and now what???? seat and wait for 2 years when my turn come along??? its just not right:mad:
  11. Hey Hurrlybaby, English is second language for me too:smokin: I didnt pass NET test at first time (comprehensive reading was though), but I waited out for HESI - guess what? Reading was such a breeze, and its got worse... not to scare you, but I was not ready for Vocabulary part at all:mad: I wish I was studying this part... Anyhow, I did pass this exam. I would recommend you to check out Vocabulary part of study guide, maybe some grammar or in any case you need to read study guide before you go. Yes, you can take it and fail, but why? You will have to wait for 60 days to take another time. Good luck to you!!! Study hard and you will do great:yeah:
  12. MacMaster, I do not believe that you can be exempt in any way from taking math:crying2: As you mentioned you have to take MAT 142... no matter what... In any case, I dont remember book that I was using to brush up my math last year (I believe it was The Complete Idiot's Guide to Algebra (Paperback)... and also Algebra for Dummies) Entrance exam was not to bad after all. I am trying to remember what was there on the test, but after all - here is best advice for you - go and take it... it is free:) and you will see for yourself what you need to concentrate on. It is free and I do not believe they have a time limit (like NET or HESI2 ). Just try it - you might pass first time. And if not, go get a book and study what you had missed. I hope it helped. Good luck!
  13. Did you hear anything about them actually having October cohort? Because at March session Banner wasn't sure if they will have October cohort or not... I hope they do - so I can file my application:rolleyes:
  14. Sweet Koalakoala!!! I got it! Thank you!
  15. how did you guys get on this web-site? i tried and tried several times:o and it shows me an error:crying2:
