  1. You should be fine. They will more than likely just have you get an xray.
  2. Do you have to register with pearson vue in order to get your provisional license, or is that just to get your ATT?
  3. I am in school in the Louisville area for an associates. I had the same questions about the bachelors hearing rumors, so I sent several emails to some of the hospitals in my area. Most hire ADNs, only one hospital here only hires only BSNs. I would recommend doing that, and not just going by what the school tells you, because they will just tell you what you want to hear.
  4. I have heard their nursing program is really unorganized
  5. I too go to that other school and will either be going to galen, or JCTC also has a bridge program also. Did you sister have any trouble finding a job after graduating?
  6. Some schools actually let you "challenge" certain courses that don't transfer, like A & P, where you just take an exam, and if you pass you get the credit for it, and don't have to retake the course. Most schools if you look at their RN-BSN requirements will have a list of pre-requisites, and those would be the courses that you would have to retake if you go to a non-accredited school. I emailed a lady from U of L a while back and this is what she had told me.
  7. I have just enrolled into Spencerian's LPN program. I will be bridging over to their RN program next year. I am contemplating going to Galen for the RN because I have heard many negative things about Spencerian. One girl in my class told me a friend of hers graduated from Spencerian 6 months ago and still hasn't found a job because none of the hospitals in Louisville will hire a Spencerian graduate. Is this true? I've also heard that not many hospitals in Louisville are hiring many RN's with an associates, and the scholarships that Norton's offers is only if you are getting your bachelors. Is this true as well? Just wondering how long it took recent graduates from either Spencerian or Galen to find employment (for RN), and what you thought of the school.
  8. What schools in Ky can you transfer to to get the BSN. Just curious because I plan on doing the LPN-RN bridge at Galen, and would eventually like to get my BSN. I'm currently getting my LPN at Spencerian, and with all the negative things I have heard about their RN program, I will be going to Galen next year.
