To educate or not
Typically I don't intervene when someone ( like a parent) tells someone else ( like their child) wrong information, for instance medical information. I don't feel like it's my place to "be all know it all like" and educate them, they do work with a certification in the medical field. Does anyone else? Do you think it's our jobs as licensed professionals to educate certified persons? I know it's our job, duty, and job description when we are staff and we are their supervisors but in the real world off duty is what I'm referring to.

provisional license
Alright, I graduated college and the nursing program. Everyone said to start looking for a job...so I did! I found one and Im just waiting on my provisional license. The instructor said 2 weeks, a different instructor said 4-5 weeks, and someone else just told me middle of this month. Does anyone know for sure....or can you tell me how long it took to get your provisional license before starting work for the second 120 hours? thanks:redpinkhe

new grad
I am graduating the first week of May and currently doing 120 hours of precepting. I have to admit that I feel absolutly overwhelmed. I could have swore I had my ducks in a row but now I feel like I know NOTHING. After hours, days, months of studying with no life and not one single grasp on the "outside world" (that doesnt consist of nursing)...I constantly ask myself " whoa, are you sure about this?" Im mean really?!? Whats the deal? Did anyone feel like after nursing school they felt unprepared, unsure, and lost? When will I gain confindence? I keep telling myself that I can do it, just slow down and remember lessons taught in school....but honestly, nursing school is nothing like the "real world of nursing" OMG!!! advise plz!

NCLEX-PN yuk
That's nursing school! The instructers always tell our class....Dont read to much into the question, but always ask "Y" ...for instance, Y would they need TPN? Then your prolly gonna get ur answer. IDK. Sometimes, I think that's not the right answer, in the REAL world ..no nurse would ever do that...but if I know its the answer they are looking for I pick it. Just get through the learning and everything will fall into place, or at least that's what I tell myself. Good luck.

Or do I apply then I have to take those classes (provided that I dont have the one)? I hope I am making since here...LOL Anyone know for sure plz help.
