Need Advice on Nursing Programs in or Near Toledo, Ohio
I went to Mercy College of Ohio in Toledo and just graduated Dec 2012. Also this is the only ADN program in Toledo that has accrediation. Mercy will make you take Chem if you did not have this in highschool however not STNA first. Let me know if you want any info about this program.

How long did you wait???
NCLEX RN 2 months after graduation and passed with 75Q

I don't know what I am doing wrong - not doing so well on tests.
My suggestion is to get an NCLEX book like Saunders do the questions in the book related to the chapters you are learning. This book was so helpful to me as it give you content without all the extra fluff. I bought the book my second semester of nursing school and used it all the way through. It will help you with these types of questions. Also if you school has ATI use the nurse logic part that helped me in the begining.

How long does it take for the Arizona board of Nursing to post official results?
Remember that today is technically a holiday (presidents day) and most boards of nursing are closed today. I tested on 0215 got quick results and passed and nothing is on the board website. We may have to wait till tomorrow.

Just finished NCLEX RN test
Try the PVT trick I tested with 75Q on Friday and got the good popup. The quick results stated I passed 48hrs later. Try the PVT

May give up my dream of being a nurse
you may want to check im not sure if you will be allowed to take the drugs and solutions since you are not in the program. i think you may have to be in already to take it. i dont think its overwhelming since they go together .you are correct that it is not required however i think it will really help you since the math in incorporated into the nursing classes and it is self taught so most people take the class its only 5 weeks and 1 credit hr. the med terms class i dont think you really need it since it is also incorporated in the nursing classes and it also self-taugh but its med terms so it really doesnt need taught however it may help you to already know it before going in the nursing classes. if you are looking for classes while you wait and need the credits i would say take them. well best of luck and keep me posted.

May give up my dream of being a nurse
Well I would just wait and see if a spot opens up and I think that you have a good chance of getting a seat believe me people do give up there seats since most people apply to more than one school. I did get your private message however I cant reply to them since I dont have enough posts. I will try to answer those questions if you get a seat know that the program is really as hard as everyone says. An 80 percent is a C and anthing lower than in 80 is a class failure. You will be busy with checkoffs, test, and quizes its overwhelming for sure. If you have not taken the drugs and solutions math class take it, i dont know if they will let you until you are in the program but take it with 110 if possible. I think that you should get familar with how to answer NCLEX type questions since this is what the test questions are like. I wish I could give you more advice but really thats it. For some people the program is more difficult than others however it is not easy for anyone. I wish you the best of luck and hope you get a seat. Keep your hope up and like I said before Lourdes program has a great reputation as well and if I didnt get in Mercy that is where I would have went.

May give up my dream of being a nurse
Ok here is my advice, I see that you have applied to Mercy College my question for you is did you apply to the day or evening program. If you applied to day and where waitlisted did you see if they have any evening seats open. Im currently in the evening program in the Nur 112 class. I know that the evening program is less popular and they usually do not fill up as quick. I have a girl in my class who was called 1 week before fall class started and was able to get all her paperwork together and start. If they have no seats for the night program either I would call Lourdes and talk to them since they have housing. If you need any more advice you can pm me and I will help you. I would not give up many people do give up seats and there is another school in town with housing and its also a good program. I hope this helps and please let me know if there is anything else I can do.
