  1. I'm sorry you had such a rough 1st week. Hang in there it WILL get better!
  2. Try to volunteer in the hospital that you want to work in. That has helped me get jobs in the past. Good luck!
  3. I agree it depends on your interests. If you like kids go for peds. I have volunteered in peds, NICU and the nursery. I knew that I would love to work in those departments though and knew that is the kind of nursing I want to go into. It has helped me get jobs in those departments as well but I do have 10 years of experience working as a CNA.
  4. Thank you! It is always nice to be appreciated! This was very nice of you to post.
  5. Yes, I feel like I have got my CNA jobs in hospitals because I have volunteered in them:)
  6. Have you heard anything yet?? Good luck!
  7. 14.00-16.00/hr at hospitals in Minnesota.:)
  8. Just ask for more after the 3 days if you feel you need it. Assisted living is usually pretty easy so 3 days may be enough. Good luck and congrats on the new job!:)
  9. Hi, I *think* it is just nursing homes that reimburse. I know Guardian Angels in Elk River puts on their own CNA Class & hire you after that. Yes, hospitals are hard to get into and usually require experience. Good luck to you!:)
