Try to volunteer in the hospital that you want to work in. That has helped me get jobs in the past. Good luck!

I agree it depends on your interests. If you like kids go for peds. I have volunteered in peds, NICU and the nursery. I knew that I would love to work in those departments though and knew that is the kind of nursing I want to go into. It has helped me get jobs in those departments as well but I do have 10 years of experience working as a CNA.

Just ask for more after the 3 days if you feel you need it. Assisted living is usually pretty easy so 3 days may be enough. Good luck and congrats on the new job!:)

Hi, I *think* it is just nursing homes that reimburse. I know Guardian Angels in Elk River puts on their own CNA Class & hire you after that. Yes, hospitals are hard to get into and usually require experience. Good luck to you!:)
