  1. I feel the same way. I just signed up to get my degree in business management...I'm just tired of nursing...done it for 10 years and I'm done....They work you like a dog and show no appreciation. Most companies don't show their employees that they are appreciated...giving me a $1 pen that says we care isn't doing it for me...so if join the trader club....lol
  2. where are you located at?
  3. I hade LPN's when I delivered here in VA...they tried to get me to come work at the hospital..and they were in post partum
  4. Only at one place where I worked did they let you go out and meet the patient and family. Then you were able to decide if you want to take the case
  5. There is a LPN school on MIlitary highway in Norfolk...Centura (something like that)...look into that one
  6. PunkinLPN replied to J4865's topic in LPN, LVN Corner
Why don't you look into Navy
  7. LPN was supposed to be my stepping stone to RN (all I had left to do was my clinicals for RN)....but then life happened...so here I am 4 kids later and still a LPN.... Some people try to make you feel bad for not getting your RN...but hey I still make good money and I don't care what they say. I have been a LPN for 9 years... I decided to go back to school not for RN but for Medical Business Admin. You do what is good for you and your family. I get it a lot that we are not nurses but the last time I checked the state considers me a nurse and I sure work my butt off as a nurse
  8. Did you or could you go back and write a late nurses note? You can do that to CYA
  9. If you don't have a family I would say go for it ...If you do have one I would say what is best for all of you as a whole....If you don't want to sell your house you could always rent it out and have it as a back up incase things don't work out. I have a house in Delaware and I live in VA (military spouse)... I didn't sell it but I still needed to move....I'm one that would pick up and move
  10. i was thinking sat. also for the same reason
  11. The only one I know with the Baylor Program was Ruxton of Williamsburg....it has a new name now but if yoou look for it in the yellowpages.com it will still come up. I did that shift there and you do get paid a little more ...like 19
  12. I can't find a good job down here in VA...I took a $6/hr pay cut when I moved down here.
  13. It's around $17-18 agency and nursing home...hospitals IDK The pay sucks in VA!!!!!~!
  14. Just a little tidbit... The best thing to do when you first come out of nursing school is to work in a hospitial either full time or PRN if you can.... You will learn sooo much
