Accelerated nursing programs VS. 2 and 4 year degree programs.
If he is graduating with a BS in nursing, then he will have his BSN. He can work on a unit, he can be hired for nurse management, and yes he can continue his education from there. Many MSN programs require the BSN, and there are others that will accept an ASN who also holds another non-nursing bachelor degree. With his BSN however, your husband will fulfill the education requirements for all MSN level programs...remember though that the different programs all have their different requirements as far as actual nursing experience goes. Which 12 month program is he applying for, if you don't mind me asking?

Accelerated Online BSN Program
I don't, and honestly I really wouldn't recommend one either. It's hard enough in a face-to-face format.

Accelerated nursing programs VS. 2 and 4 year degree programs.
No offense to your comments... honestly... But a large majority of the accelerated nursing programs out there are actually BSN programs. These programs are very competitive; however, to sort of answer your question, I fully believe that a male has better odds of being accepted into many of these programs. Still just being honest, like it or not, nursing is one of the only professional fields where men are considered a minority. Discrimination or not, men often have an upper hand as a result. I also believe that this applies in the job market. Now I don't want anyone to get their undies bunched about what I am about to say, but... There are a ton of managers out there who would love to have a little testosterone working on their floors. Also, men are very nice to have around for transferring certain clients. Again, I really hope this doesn't offend anyone, but you asked the question and I am being completely honest :)

Any schools that allow one to complete Anatomy/Physiology l and ll in one semester?
First, it would depend on what part of South Dakota that you are in. I think that there are some classes offered in SD that are combined, but you want to check with the advisor of which ever program you are considering before you spend the time and money on a combined A&P class (many schools do not accept a combined class). Which school are you applying to? If you are applying for the accelerated program in SD then there is no reason you would have to be done by Jan. because the program only starts once a year in August. If you are in Rapid City I can recommend an excellent instructor who teaches A&P.
