Sharp New Grad Program Fall 2012/Winter 2013
So did everyone who got a call back from Sharp for L&D take the RPS (Maternal Newborn Nursing Care class)? I am just curious. I didn't apply to L&D b/c I thought it was required. Anyone apply for NICU?

How i studied for my nclex exam
Hi diana2520 your story is a great read. I have several of the books/materials you mentioned that worked for you. Do you happen to have any of the guides you used that you can send my way? Anything would be very helpful! Thanks

APU EENAP Summer 2011
I have books to sell. I am in the cohort before you. I didn't purchase the bundle that the school recommends. I spent about $700 on books. There are also a few books in the bundle that you won't need until the second semester. The thing about the bundle is that you get access to an online/downloadable version so that you don't have to bring your books to class. Its a matter of preference. Some people liked having the bundle others wish they hadn't purchased it. message me if you have any questions. If you want to buy my books let me know. I also know a few other people in my cohort that have books to sell.

APU EENAP Summer 2011
Hi all! I haven't heard of anyone having to take out additional loans to cover tuition. It is all very confusing but each semester is about $10,000 or so. I would advise contacting the financial aid office if you have any questions. They are really helpful and will break everything down for you. The program is considered a "Graduate" program even though we are getting a BS, this allows us to get Graduate Fin. Aid. As far as school goes, its a lot of work, but learn quickly to work together and divide things up (study guides, objectives, etc) to make the work load a little less. You being clinicals your 4th week into the semester =) Fun stuff. Message me if you have any other questions. I just started at APU in January.

APU EENAP Summer 2011
No, I am at the San Diego campus and they have an MSN program there, so I won't need to go to the Azusa campus. Bummer that SB doesn't have the program yet.

APU EENAP Summer 2011
For my cohort, tuition is about $40K, with 69 units at $500 a unit for the BSN. I am not sure about the Master's tuition though.

APU EENAP Summer 2011
Sdgirl05- I am currently in the ELM program. Financial aid covered my tuition. We are considered graduate students, so there is usually enough to cover the costs of tuition. Books can be expensive for your first semester. APU offers a "package" at around $1200. I chose to buy my books off amazon/craigslist etc for about $800. So I would suggest saving money to buy books on your own. I had money left over from financial aid to buy the books, but I chose not to use. As far as scholarships go, a lot of the ones I found want you to be in school already. Just keep searching the internet for them. The school will have a few to offer as well. One that was offered is for under-represented groups in the nursing field (males, latino's, African Americans- you will get more info once you start) I applied to a few on my own since I didn't qualify. Let me know if you have any other questions.

APU EENAP Summer 2011
Kyshia- I heard they are working on allowing some students to do the research methods class while they are enrolled in the program. I can Mesa college has several courses, they are under Psych. I got a full list of acceptable courses from Rene at the Regional office in SD. I can send it to you if you want. Good Luck! I have been accepted in the Jan 2011 cohort but I haven't received my information package yet. Hopefully I will get it soon.

TCU Accelerated BSN 2010
Congrats to those of you in the TCU program. I am applying for the next cohort, Summer 2011. How do you all like the program? I live in California and would LOVE to attend TCU. I hear they have a wonderful nursing program. Also, the staff has been so friendly to me and very helpful. I know you are all super busy, but I would love to hear your thoughts, and any advice that you have for myself and other hopeful students! Good luck in the rest of your studies!

accelerated BSN-azusa-EENAP @ san diego-Summer 2009
Hey Everyone- I was also accepted to the Spring 2012 session. I am done with all pre-reqs this December (I still need the research class though). I am also on the wait list. When I asked about my position, I wasn't given a number or position. I was just told that I am still on the list and there were no openings for other Cohorts. =( I really want to start in 2011 as well. I don't want to wait till 2012, but I will.

Anyone attending or taken the Accelerated BSN at Concordia in Irvine?
Yes, I had one class. Micro. Which could be a negative thing. The Theology classes weren't a pre-req for admission, but are for the BSN program.
