Fingerprinting for FLorida (application through endorsement)
Hi mademoiselle! I'm also from Canada. I just would like to know if you were able to do your electronic fingerprinting with success through Florida Fingerprinting Services & FDLE Background Investigation Checks/National Background Check. Did you use their fingerprint card or did you use the FBI (FD-258) fingerprint cards at your local police department or law enforcement agency? How long was the processing and how long did it take for Florida BON to grant your license? I've seen that there are some agencies here in Canada who do an electronic fingerprinting. I'm just wondering if Florida BON will accept LiveScan fingerprinting from them. Thank you in advance for your time and I would really appreciate it if you can share with me some ideas.

Getting your Florida License via Endorsement: A Detailed How-To Guide
As what the Florida Board website is saying, all applicants are required to provide verification of their initial license and an active license. I've also read somewhere in the website that even if you don't have a license in that particular state but then it happened that it was the state board of nursing where you applied and you passed your NCLEX (which I believed that this is what they mean by initial license), then you need to provide a verification from this state, as well as the verification of an active license that you have acquired. Even if you have a lot of licenses in different state, you may only submit a verification of one active license. But if you want to make things clear, then I would suggest that you message the Florida Board of Nursing to avoid mistakes and possibilities of delaying your application. Please click below and scroll down to page 15 (Florida Board of Nursing License Verification Request). http://www.floridasnursing.gov/applications/lpn-rn-endorse-app.pdf

New (great!) job...and yet I still don't want to be a nurse?
@ [COLOR=#003366]freespyryt Being a wound care nurse really sounds great! But does working as an OR nurse ever come to your thoughts? There's still a lot of responsibilities to do for sure but is different from being a floor nurse. You`ll handle one patient at a time together with the OR team, surgeon, anesthesiologist and co-nurses. Check it out, who knows you might like it : )

NCLEX and Pearson Vue Trick
Hi bethlearning! Which reviewer are you using? I used Saunders and La Charity and I found them really helping me so much with my exam. Don't give up. You can do it. Trust in God for He always has a good reason of why He's not giving us what we're asking right now. Good luck to your next exam and don't stop believing.

Planning to take NCLEX AGAIN on another state
Hello aniemugundu! It's been a year now since you post this message and I just happened to read it. Anyway, you can do the refresher course at South Dakota State University through online. There are two parts, the theory which you'll do online and the clinical part in which you need to check with any hospital or long term care facility who can offer this to you. You don't have to do it in Vermont. You can do it as to which state you are now. Hope this post will still help you or others maybe who will read this post in the future.

Vermont requires NCLES-RN Refresher course?
Hi mark22 As you've mentioned in your post about Vt BON instruction, does it mean to say that if you passed the NCLEX in less than 2 years, therefore you can still renew your license without accomplishing the refresher course in which the Vermont Board of Nursing is asking? Please help, I passed my NCLEX in less than two years ago and they require me to take the refresher course. Where is it in their website did you find that they mention that we can still renew it if the exam was taken in less than two years. I really appreciate any help from you and to anyone who can lighten up my mind about this.Thank you

Rn re entry clinical dilemma
Hello aniemugundu Did you finally do your refresher course? Where did you do your clinicals? Is Fletcher Allen the only hospital who's giving the 120 hrs. of clinical? I'm having the same problem right now. Can you please share with me your experience with this refresher course? Thank you and I would really appreciate this

Any RNFAs out there?
Hello rncoco. I too would love to become a RNFA someday. I'm not there yet but I did a little research about it. Go to CNOR Certification and Recertification You need to take the CNOR exam to become a Certified Nurse in the Operating Room first then take a program to become a RNFA. Check that website and it will answer some of your questions. You can email them to ask for more info. Check this website Acceptable RNFA Programs for CRNFA Certification to see the acceptable RNFA program and here's one of them RN First Assistant Home Probably you might already aware of the info which I shared to you but just in case if you don't know then here it is. Hope this helps.

Failed nclex 3 times already help plssssss.. :(
Hello babymay! Don't be discouraged. There are so many people who took this exam more times than you took it and finally passed the exam. If this is what you really want in life then go for it. Be an LPN. Don't let anything stop you from what you want. Just continue on studying. When I did my RN-NCLEX, I really devoted my time of studying from a.m to p.m. I did so much practice with the cd on the computer. I wrote on my notebook my objective and my study plan and made it sure to myself that I would stick to that plan. For example, for the first two weeks my objective was to finish answering the questions of chapter I to chapter 12. Then the following two weeks I devoted it on answering the next remaining chapters. Then for another 3 weeks my target was to answer 1000-1500 questions on the cd and made it sure that I read all the reasons either I made a wrong or a correct answer. It depends on your studying habit what really works for you. Also, have some relaxing time, you need that after squeezing your brain of finding the answers to those practice questions. Practice practice and practice a lot and a lot of cd questions and your brain will get use of answering them. Another important thing, I find that doing exercises everyday even just for 30 mins of walking exercises and eating nutritious foods helps a lot of understanding and answering those questions. It really works well for me. And the most important thing, prayers. God is just there watching over you and listening to your prayers. Don't give up. You might not have it now, but the right time will come. Just be very patient. Good luck and I wish you the best for your coming exam.

CA nclex-rn results for foreign grads with ssn
Hi! I don't think so California will issue you a license without a SSN since you only took your exam last June and they made those changes with the SSN requirement since April 2011. 4 months is a long period of waiting. I would suggest that you'll call CABON and see why you didn't receive your results until now. Good luck to your results and God bless!!!

Endorsement Application to Vermont
Hi comeonlucas! I have the same problem in finding the right CES report for Vermont license requirement. I can't find any other post talking about it. So finally which one is comparable to the full course by course report in CGFNS. Is it the Professional CES or the Academic report CES? Thank you!

Rural nursing - who is hiring? Training/orientation process??
Hi luv2runRNnow! This post might be a bit old but I would like to know if you're still working in North Country Hospital and how is the hospital as to co workers, the management, the mentoring and the hospital in general. It sounds to be so attractive to work there the way I read their website. But as I've read in some discussions in this forum, there are some part of Vermont who are not really welcoming other races. Is Newport one of them? How many months do they train nurses who doesn't have an experience in such special field like ER, Med-Surg etc. Does the hospital demand a year of working commitment to be accepted for the job? And lastly, do you have any idea how much is their starting offer for nurses without experience? I'm so sorry to ask you all of these questions but it's just because I don't know anybody to ask for all of these questions. Thank you very much for your time.

NCLEX quick results in California
The trick works for me and I did pass the NCLEX-RN :anpom: :anpom:But don't lose hope. There's always a miracle that can happen. As you can read here in this forum, others made some mistakes of filling up the questions in the pv registration which brought them to cc page and yet when they got their result, they found out that they passed. I would say just hang on till you'll get your final result. Prayers can move mountain... :rckn:

Transcript Validation Form
Hi Silverdragon 102! Please help me to find an answer to my question. I applied for a visa screen under CGFNS which just recently expired due to incomplete documents (NCLEX passing result). I understand that I can have it reprocess and pay the certain amount of $175.00 as the reprocessing fee but my question is do I still need to submit again the transcript of record from my school of nursing as well as all other same documents which they required and in which I already submitted to them during the time that I started processing it? Can they not use those transcript and other documents which I have submitted to them? CGFNS sent me a message last month that I need to submit my NCLEX passing result by September 8, 2011 or it will become expired and closed. Kindly share me your ideas. Thank you.

Failed nclex 3 times already help plssssss.. :(
Don't lost hope. You didn't get your official result yet. Miracles can happen. And if in case you still won't get the good result then don't surrender if your heart really desire to become a nurse. Maybe it's just not your time yet. God has all His reasons why He's not giving it to you yet. I know someone who never gave up of taking it and on her 6th time of taking it she finally passed. Now she's working for about 4 years now since she passed her NCLEX-RN exam. Just always call on God. Good luck!!!:)

CA nclex-rn results for foreign grads with ssn
Hello! Supposed to you can but I would suggest if you can ask any relatives who's living there to process your papers in behalf of you and make sure that you'll send to that relative an authorization letter allowing him/her to do it in behalf of you. It could be good also if you can call your school as well as the PRC to make sure that they will allow it this way or either way ask them if you can just send all of those forms with the money order to them. But I am not sure though if they will accept that money order from UK or maybe there's a specific bank that you need to process your transaction with them. Western Union is another option of paying your transaction with them but make sure that you have all the information as to under who's name that you're going to pay since western union needs a specific name of a person though it's kind of difficult this way because you don't know of whom you're trusting but there should be a way in which you can do the processing fee while you're there in UK. All you have to do is call. The best is if you can find a relative over there to help you so at least all of the payments will be done in pesos with no problem, but please call those offices to be sure. Another thing is that I've heard from someone before that you can ask your BON where you sent all of your documents like the TOR, PRC to forward it to the CGFNS. I'm not sure though if this is true but why won't you try to call both the BON where you are registered as well as the CGFNS to ask if both offices will allow it this way. Maybe it will work. At least if they will, then it will be less trouble and maybe less expenses and less time to complete your requirements. :)

CA nclex-rn results for foreign grads with ssn
vermont has no ssn requirement but will only give you 3 chances to take the exam in case you won't succeed at first. texas has no ssn requirement also and can take the nclex no matter how many times as long as it is within 4 years. but in order to acquire their license, you need to take a local texas exam but this can be done after you'll pass your nclex. just go to their website to have more information about their other requirements if you're interested. sorry but don't have any other ideas about your other inquiry...
