Yes, I was accepted to Nightingale, but I decided not to attend because, I had too much going on at the time. I wanted to give myself more time to complete more of the general education courses. Overall, I know several people that attended this school and have heard nothing but praise. But when I go on facebook, I hear the good and bad. My opinion your success will depend on your effort. My opinion is anything worth having is worth the sacrifice. When I went to LVN school at Northwest College I felt I was self taught as well but at the end of the day it is what you put into your studies and how bad you want to succeed.

What School did you apply to

I believe that was for their ADN program that they voluntary gave up.

@Theone40, Did you get accepted into the LVN to RN program or Are you doing the generic program? I Still need 2 science classes but debating about the generic program or LVN to RN program. Which ever is easier to get into.

Congratulations, I'm so happy for you, you do deserve it. Well, yes I also passed and I feel so relieve but I'm still upset about the other stuff, I have complete before I receive my license. Well, I did do the footwork today, but, like I said the police department is making me wait 7-10 days for the report. It's really stupid but you have to do, what you have to do. Hey Calinurse85, As I orginally indicated, I took my test on Nov 9 2009, I feel obligated to finish letting you know what happen since our last post. Well I received documentation as the REP indicated, however, I only received information regarding my conviction. I was under the impression that the letter and results would be mailed out on the same day, but that did not happen. I remember you telling me, in your last post, that they requested information from you about your conviction and later received notice that you failed. However, based on that information, I called the board today and they told me that they did mail out my results on the day after. I was wondering and asked the rep why they were not sent out together. She did not explain. However, Listen to what she did say, Well, I need the enclosed documentation, I need police reports on the incident and it need to be certified. I need a detailed letter of the incident in your own words. I need letters from the courts certifiying that you paid and meet all obligations. So, what do I do, I went to the police station, they have no record of the incident and I would have to wait again to receive such a letter.I called the courts to see how I would precede and they told me that I would have to pay yet again for this information depending on how many pages and 20.00 to certify. Out of some more money. I am upset now because I went through alot of **** with the application going to all these courthouses to get letters, yet to find out that the letters needed to be certified. But all of this could have been resolved, if they would indicated in the application that copy documents needs to be certified...... It feels as if, I am doing the rep's work. So, what was the purpose of fingerprints, which I took in June, 2 months before they received my application. It has been 3 months since I completed school. That's not all, she's giving me 30 days for the documents, but indicated it could take up to 60 days after receiving documents to get the decision. What's up with that. I'm mad, angry and tired. I should get my results tomorrow. I'll let you know....Sorry hopefully this could be of some use to someone with a background problem. Anyhow.....Another sleepness night. Yes, my friend also took the test on Nov 2nd and was told information was mailed to her on October 30th but she is in Arizona, It takes a little longer but she should have results by this week. She also had traffic tickets.

Hello nursesmurfer2010, I recently encountered the same thing. This is what they told me. If you check yes to traffic tickets or criminal history they automatically opens a file in enforcement and continue to do a background check. Someone in Enforcement told me, that the only way that your test scores are mailed out by them is, when you pass the nclex and they need more information. But if you did not pass there would be no reason to open a file on a fail status. No backgrounds are done until you pass nclex. Everyone is entitled to take the exam if they qualify. Most likely if you did the trick and got the good pop up, and you indicated they you had tickets or criminal history on your original application and your file is in enforcement you passed the exam but whether you get a license with a criminal history is a different story. Smile you pass. It takes about 6 weeks to get your letter based on the enforcement division. Dani568

Hello 2bLVNme, yes, I did call the BON the guy kinda slip up a little because I tried to be a little coy about the questions that I asked. I pretended to play dumb, and told him I don't understand why my file went to there unit, and why its taking this long to process my file. He indicated, without looking up my information I remind you, he implied that if I had failed the results come from regular channels. So, I'm assuming that I passed because when I spoke with the Rep previously she indicated that enforcement will send out my results. I don't know I have a tickets on my records also. dani568

Hello to you CALINURSE85, yes I have a background, I called and they said it will take up to 6 weeks to get the results. They also would nt tell me if I passed or not. They said I will get a notification with information. I dont know why this would take this long. This is a sad situation I knew that I would ve had my information by now. But it is what it is.

I took my exam on November 10 and still no results. Called BON and they said my results are in the Enforcement Division. I was not able to speak with anyone, but was allowed to leave a message. I'm going crazy over here.
