  1. Thank you for responding. If you had to choose, between oncology and 8N which area would it be? Why? I noticed you "use to work there" if opportunity or you need employment, would you go back? How is the pay? (and yep I am pretty sure over worked, under paid. No facility is exempt`) Nurse to patient ratio? Charting system? Forgive me if I asked to many questions Thanks
  2. Hello all, If there is anyone who have worked in the Federal System, could/would you elaborate on your experience? Would you do it again? Pros and Cons? Type of care received? Anything you regret? If had the chance, would you do it again. Thanks
  3. Hello all, I have been a nurse for 7 years and then some. Recently I became unemployed and trying to find employment which have been a very slow go. I have received several interviews, yet to hear ya or na. If there is anyone familiar with Vanderbilt in Nashville, a little input and information pretaining to their salary would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone can give a little advice on which state pays the most and the cost of living is not on pluto. I am pretty sure CA pays great, but the cost of living is on the moon. I am working through a travel company, only to still be waiting on an assignment. If there is anyone who can help or give a little advice, I am open for any and all suggestions. Thanks much
  4. I have four plus years experience. What exactly is a registry and how do I go about applying? At this point, I'm willing to try almost anything.
  5. PANURSE 15009, I've heard the online classes are just as hard as the classwork, it's just online. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for me to get where I want to be. I will start the Step program at JSU in the Spring 2010. I have already taken chemistry and statistics, so I have that behind me regardless of where I end up. I hope this information helps you. If you can think of anything you think might help me, please let me know.
  6. HeatherTN, I have a question. I'm an RN, got laid off, (Alabama) still trying to find employment and having no such luck. I wanted to explore new options through WIA and they told me I did not qualify. Would you explain please. Thanks
  7. What is the best MSN Program? Family Nurse Practitioner? Clinical Nurse Specialists? Pediatric Nurse Practitioner? Nursing school is stressful we all know that, but what program is a little less stressful and straight forward? Any advice from anyone?
  8. Remind yourself why you want your degree and start studying. You can do it. If I have faith in you and I don't know you, you need faith in yourself. Believe in yourself and you will make it. So get to studying and post notes around the house to believe in yourself.
  9. Rita2007, I'm going to start the program in spring 2010. What exactly can I expect? How are the courses? Instructors? Any advice you can give will be greatly appreciated.
  10. No problem. Everyone need some uplifting. And if you don't get it the next go around, go again and again until you do get it. I did not tell anyone when I was going, I just think that's a personal thing. Get the book and study the disk. You will be surprised at what you can accomplish is you just believe in yourself.
  11. Okay guys listen, the only thing that helped me was me. You have to make it up in your mind that you are going to pass. Think about where you have been and where you are headed. The only thing that helped me was the NCLEX Made Incredible Easy Book and CD. I studied, studied and studied. You can do this and you will do it if you want it bad enough. You're not the first to fail and won't be the last. Get the book and study. Mainly the CD
  12. I haven't tried that, only the bathroom cleaner and 409. I promise those two will work. If the products can clean grime and grease, that will clean your shoes.
  13. Busylizzy, I'm already an RN. I have been for almost five years. I'm going to start the Step program starting in the spring. Any advice there?
  14. I have been laid off since July 2009. I have been looking and yet to find employment. I have 4 plus years experience and I really need a job. I live in the northwest corner of the state. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  15. I start Jacksonvilles RN-BSN-MSN in the spring 2010. I'm need some insight on what to expect. How about the program?
