2 of my classmates got their offer, one last Friday and one this past Thursday. Heard they were interviewing 80-85 and accepting 20. HTH =)

I had an interview 11/1 Tues and got a call that Friday with an offer.

Update: Yes we will need to get the study guide for the Foundations book. Wow, $100 for a stethoscope...so expensive. I found one for $50 on ebay. It's the Littmann 3M Select...sold at EmbroidMe for $59. No engraving though.

Hi everyone, I bought all the books individually online (Half.com & Amazon.com) for $300. I didn't buy the Study guide for the Foundations book yet because I wanted to hear back from Mrs. ***** to see if we really need it...but that should only be an additional $25. I also bought a 2010 Drug Guide since I heard we will need some type of drug guide for reference. Just wanted to let everyone know about the costs if bought individually. I also posted this on our FB page. =)

Hi Samira and Welcome! I think it all boils down to personal preference when it comes to the book package. Alot of people don't like or don't have time to scour the internet for book deals and would rather go straight for the packaged deal. I, on the other hand, would rather save some money and get the used books.

I emailed our Foundations professor to ask if she will be using the same book as the Spring semester and she said yes. By the way she's the same professor for End of Life (Mrs. R_ _ th). I just bought it on Amazon today so that I can start reading it throughout the summer. This is the book if anyone else wants to buy/rent/borrow it and start reading: Kozier & Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing: Concepts, Process, and Practice 8th Edition by Berman, Snyder, Kozier, Erb. I PMed Chelsea and got this info so a big THANK YOU to Chelsea!!

Omg thank you so much Chelsea! You're awesome for letting us know all of this. Did you have financial aid to help you pay for the first semester's books & "stuff"? Did you buy the book package from the school or did you buy it on your own? When does your second semester start and end? All 3 months of summer?

Which office did you go to? I used to go to the North Dallas Health center the beginning of last year and found out that they closed all the health centers down when I try to go back to get the rest of my shots. They only charged $3 per person there and you can get as many shots as you want.
