omg!!! after 3 weeks of waiting, i finally called the ca-brn and they told me that they are waiting for my fingerprints to clear and that is why i have been waiting for so long. they said it should take only a few days and i should have my license in a week or so. i am so numb right now, i can't even believe it. you all have been so great with your positive notes, that i just can't thank you enough. i am the happiest girl in the world today. love yvonne rn (finally) :balloons:

Don't lose faith. I actually shut off at 88 also and I also live in CA, what a coincidence. I still don't know my results and I here it is taking up to 3 weeks to post on the computer due to all the May graduates sending in all their paperwork. I took mine 1 1/2 weeks ago and all I know is I got the last question right too. Good luck, keep us posted.

Actually on Kaplans course I remember when they talk about the taest they said if you go to 265 then you have to get the last question right to pass bacause you were so borderline to passing. This weekend has been torture. I hope I pop up on the computer tommorrow, but I am truely feeling like I failed. How horrible to give us a test that makes us feel so miserable afterwards, is this a reward for graduating from nursing school.

I read on another forum about a CD audio set from Meds Publishing called "everything you need to know about the NCLEX-RN" it is about $189.00. It is several CD's that are about 45-70 minutes in length that cover each and every subject/system. They also have other products that are cheaper. If I don't pass I probably will try this.... ione, What state do you live in, because most states let you go on the Pearson Vue website and get your results after 72 hours. Keep the faith, it is not over until the big envelope comes....

what do you guys think about the last question right theory. i shut off at 88?'s on friday and the only thing i know for sure is that i got the last question right. i keep hearing from friends that if you get your last question right then you passed. has anyone else heard that theory????

This is the most horrific exam ever invented. I shut off at 88 and just went out to my car and started crying. I have never felt so horrible after an exam in my life. I got about 10 ventilator questions and all I could think was I am not taking an exam to be a CCRN. It was horrible and I just know that I did not pass and the worst part is California does not participate with Pearson Vue to let you get your results in 48 hours so I just have to wait. It totally sucks.

Ok everyone I really need your thoughts and prayers. I take my NCLEX tommorrow and I am getting really nervous. I am not going to study today, I will probably just look over my lab values. I have never been so nervous in my life.... Thanks Yvonne

The theory that I always hear is that you only remember the questions that you got wrong. :) Stop torturing yourself and take a bubble bath or go out and buy a quart of chocolate ice cream. There is nothing you can do unfortunatly but wait.. What did you get tested on? Did you get any of the new format? Take Care Yvonne

You had to have passed. I was finally meant to be... I have had friends pass at 120, 160 and 180. Did you feel like your questions were harder than in previous attempts? Let me be the 1st to say congratulations, I look forward to you updating the website with you telling us you for sure passed. :balloons: Can you give me any input for Friday????? Amanda, We are all thinking good thoughts for you... You will do it this time. I take mine Friday and I know your feeling. I did not pass the 1st time and I am scared to death. My job held my full-time day position the 1st time but now we are on a hiring freeze (no nursing stortage at my hospital) and I don't think they will hold my job for another 90 days... Congratulations!!!! :balloons: I am so happy for you. Don't forget to keep me in your prayers on Friday. California does not allow you to call Pearson to get your results, so I just have to wait and hope I show up on the CA BRN soon after....

I am crossing my fingers for you. Can you give us any info on what kind of questions you had and how the new format was? I take mine next friday and I am getting very nervous.

You normally get an idea where you want to work thru clinicals. I did clinicals at my hospital while in school and they hired my as a cna and when I graduated they just transferred my right into a nursing position. No interviews or anything... I could not be happier working anywhere else... Also the nurse week website host job fairs in every state and those are just fun to go to for fun. I went just for all the free t-shirts, hemostats, tape measures, mugs, and i even won a littmen.

Congrats. What a weight lifted off your shoulders... I am getting so nervous mine is on the 23rd.... The next 2 weeks will be study, study, study......

Ione, First of all good luck and keep us posted. 2nd of all for CABON, just go to their website and go to license verification and then type in your name, if you passed it should show up within a week.
