What am I doing wrong? (Hospitals & My Resume)
I did the same thing, I got my BLS (CPR&AED), hoping it would increase my chances of getting a job. For the first 5 months or so, I got a lot of interviews, but no job. Then I finally got a job at an outpatient clinic as a CSR. I applied at outpatient clinics, Home health agencies, doctor's offices, community clinics, even dental offices. Do you at least get interviews? If you are there is probably nothing wrong with your resume, either they withdrew the position which happens a lot or hired someone else. It may be your interviewing skills as well. But if you have a feeling that the interviews are going well, and your resume is getting you interviews, it just may be your competition, someone has better skills or whatnot. But keep trying. You will lad a job....eventually.... and when you get it, hold on to it.

What were your job interview red flags?
Hi, Well I interviewed for a position about 2 years ago, it wasn't in nursing, but still healthcare. It was a groups interview, and the weirdest thing is that interviewer started "crying" yes "crying", because she was so passionate about her job. by the end of the interview all the other interviewees in the room were also crying. I've never seen anything like it. I kinda wanted to laugh at them. But, I kept my cool, kept it professional, and walked out of there confused. I'll remember this forever. Never seen a Interviewer cry before, and probably never will again. As for a good interview, I remember feeling at ease with the Director, HR Person and Managers. I was nervous, but not overly nervous, and the overall environment of the place, felt at ease. The co-workers seemed to get along with each other. And no one was crying.

Is putting 'BSN' on badge snobbish?
I think you should have BNS on your badge. Why not? you worked hard for it... besides i think that the LPN that said it was snobbish.. is just jelaous... Be proud and wear that Badge.

Seeing loved ones before death?
hi, well when my grandmother died.. i wasn't there, but my dad was for her last days... she lived in another country so he was with her for about a week before she died. he came back died and then i went to her funeral.. anyway.. he said that she would start saying weird things in general... like go tell your aunt (ruth) to get the water ready for coffee, but aunt ruth has been dead for years. or she would see her children, but in child form not as adults... she was mostly hallucinating... she never mentioned my grandfather who passed away when my dad was 5... she didn't say that she saw or talked to anyway... it was just very clear hallucinations.... on another note, my dad knew a little old woman that right before she died she would cover herself in dirt, walked around throwing dirt over herself.. i guess she was saying that she was ready to be buried. my mom mom on the other hand said that she saw death... not really sure what she meant by it, but we were all at the hospital and she had been getting surgery, and she was there for a week, and said that death told her that it would be back latter... latter came about a week latter, she had another surgery, and she came out ok.. but on her way upstairs... she passed away, my family was already waiting for her in the upstairs room, when the police officer told them to go back downstairs, that she had just passed. it happened in a matter of 2 minutes. it's weird that neither of my grandmothers mentioned their husband, both my grandads had already been dead a long time. sorry to make such a long post, but i guess it just on how the person will go. My cousin before he was murdered.. mentioned to his mother that he new, all the family would be together soon for something.. it's like he had a premonition, however chosed not to tell my aunt that he would be shot.. again it happened about a week before actually passing away... it's like tying up things in the last few days, to get out what needs to be said.

Can a CNA get a job as a MA?
hello, I was going to say that you would need phlebotomy and maybe ekg as well depending on your state. also where i live a lot of chiropractors and podiatrists hire what they called MA's but they train them themselves, so for podiatrists and chiropractors you could easily get a job with them during day hours. chiropractors some of them have weird hours though, where you would have like a 3 hour break. don't know if that's the norm in other states.

hi try Advocate Health Care I know that Good Samaritan Hospital is hiring...and Dreyer Medical is hiring as well... your best bet is to fill out the applications online and they will call you... Alexian Brothers is also hiring I think... you might just want to get hired in anything for now, and then when you are in move to a different opening with in the company. that way they already know you and they may favor internal applicants over outsiders.

do you have to necessary be a CNA to become an lpn?!
i think it depends on state law. in the state on illinois, YES, you have to be a CNA, it is just recent so a few schools aren't up to date yet, but most of them will ask you to be CNA first. you don't have to work as a CNA you just have to be a registered CNA, so take the class, pass, take the state test and register. then go on and study LPN.
