  1. LakeEmerald, OMG!!! My mouth cannot talk anymore, this is incredible. You nailed it, no more sleep, and no more rest till December 5th. That home work is too heavy for a semester, one homework takes 4 hours to complete. I was wondering how long our Test and Exam will take, and how many questions. Wonderful, I'm still paddling it one at a time. Let's see how it goes after the first Test. Thanks for sharing!!
  2. LakeEmerald, thank you so much. Yes scientific calculator is an additional requirement. I was scared after watching the demo proctorU video. I hope we help each other in this course, let's see how the first week goes. thank you all.
  3. Thank you all for your reply. College algebra starts next week, and I am totally confused at this time. I am thinking of hiring a tutor that will teach me the math steps, but the test and exams are my most concern. Without proctoring, I can use my calculator, but with proctoring there will be no calculator...this is not funny anymore. I don't even know if getting myself a tutor will be of help to me..thank you all.
  4. Hello everyone, I opened my blackboard this morning, and behold math 1302 (college algebra) has been posted, and to my greatest surprised all exams and test must be proctored online, you also have option to take the exam in the school for those that live closer to the school. Please, anyone who knows how this online proctor works should share their experiences and give any input. Thank you.
  5. Good job to all that participated.
  6. Jadiva, Thank you for your post. What book/books are they using? any other materials to buy? please let me know so that I can start looking for them on time. thank you..
  7. Cara, you are not alone. I will equally start august 25th, We will find a way to helo each other.
  8. You guys are doing great, let's continue to push it. I am also in this class, very stressful and time consuming class. Please, beat on every single thing in the lab book, if your patient doesn't have any of the symptoms, write client denies having....., that's it. My only challenges now is the quiz, the time is not enough, and i'm not doing well with it. I will try looking at the index as fast as i can, it is not all that easy.
  9. Danaroo, I feel for you, oh my goodness, may God help you. I will start this class in August, hope things works out for me. Please, how did others cross through this hell???? Many people have been complaining and giving suggestions of trying community colleges, but time factor happen to be the problem. Please, those who did it with UTA, what and how did you do ???
  10. Thank you so much for your inputs, I truly appreciate it. I think choosing 8 or 11 weeks will be better. Im so scared about it. May be i would try to take statistics first. thank you all.
  11. 3 courses at a time will be too heavy for you, unless you are not working. Two at a time is hard work, but doable in some of the courses. There are some courses you will find very difficult to double, but 3 courses at a time will need extra grace. This is my suggestion.
  12. Dr. Stetescope, are you listening or looking at your patient? Very funny... but I like it.
  13. start each assignment earlier, if posible start your wednesday assignment by Saturday. Its time consuming, just follow the rubric, and you will be fine. good luck.
  14. Thank you so much for your responds. Frankly, I do not like maths, not good at it, but can do it if given much time and following directions. I would have loved to do it in my local community but I dont have time. I do appreciate your responds alot. thanks
  15. Hello everyone, Please, I need your input on choosing eighter 8 weeks or 11 weeks of this two courses. And for the 11 weeks, is it okay to double it with another class or should I still do them alone. Please help, Thanks you.
  16. I scheduled mine today Friday. My DON agreed to my request and I will have it done asap. So far it has been good, but i dont know how to do the power point theory project. Good luck to you all, we will get there.
  17. Teamwork is always a strenght of every organization. I do appreciate your post.
  18. Heyeveryone, I'm starting Nursing Leadership and Management class on Monday4/7/14, who is going with me? For those who have done this class, how do yousee it? Do we have textbook for this class? I want to start my preparations early;any input will be highly appreciated. Thank you all!!
  19. Just to share my experiences and to give some adives about this course. I made use of advises that I got from people here and it really worked. i got 100% in the first, second assignment. It was tough and time consuming. Starting ealry really saved me, I started from started and will finished by thursday night. I narrowed my search and make sure that I abswered every question according to the rubric. I'm happy I made it to week 4 and we will be done by next week. I was so scared about this course and i'm happy we are almost done with it. thank you all for your input.
  20. We are now in week two, I am taking it one at a time. The work load is too much, but with your contributions and advises, i started doing my week two assignments earlier. So much to write. Thank you all for your input.
  21. twindad85, This is incredible. Do you know that you must send a copy of your windshield for plagiarism check first before submitting it for marking. I'm still writing my windshield, this assignment and readings are much to handle, I'm so scared. Did you buy the textbook?, do you think is necessary?, My problem is that I may not read the textbook if I buy it, there are too many things to read, Its indeed a crap. The geriatric is very good to handle, but vulnerable is something else.
  22. Too many things to read in this class, I doubt if the textbook is necessary. I'm not palnning to buy the textbook because I may not have the time to read it. Thanks for your post.
  23. I started this course yesterday, but from the course syllabus and from what i have read so far, it's overwhelming, too many writings and researches. Please any suggestion, contributions will be appreciated. Is anyone here with me, please post and let's help each other. Thank you.
  24. Thank you guys for your reply. I have seen the syllabus of both vulnerable and holistic of the older. I was scared before now, but after reading your reply and your advises on creating more hours in week 2, i am beginning to build confident and i will plan ahead of time to meet up on week 2 of vulnerable. Thanks for sharing.
  25. Congratulations maryannmartin75. I will be taking vulnerable and holistic of the older adult on 2/24/14. I do not know if this combination is doable after hearing how hard vulnerable is. Do anyone knows if vulnerable have any book? I really would like to start reading early before monday? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks
