  3. 1st quarter next year..
  4. i think that was on september... no one referred me there. I just logged my name, also sent my resume online and fill up their database online..
  5. tron22 replied to GirRN's topic in Philippines
RN heals II is a pilot certification for beginning nurse practitioner... So if ever you completed this one you're a pioneer for this first PRC certification as this. They still building this program. But the only problem, is this sustainable? after 1 year what's next? the third batch of RN heals will be launched early next year.
  6. I took exam yesterday,,, and HR told to us that they will give pre-employment exams for applicants for succeeding weeks..
  7. Some hospital started their RN Heals 2... meaning position was filled already. I just don't know with some.
  8. DOH hospitals filled the needs for staff nurses thru RN HEALS..
  9. congratulations to makati medical center... they are now jci accredited along with st. lukes, medical city and chong hua hospital...
  10. I didn't know that there's already a training for phlebotomy. I think it will be useful. Me even if I don't have a formal training, I manage to learn by myself. If you're in a government hospital, sometimes nurses must know how to extract blood because med tech were busy. it is useful and will add to your skills. However, in Philippine nurses law, I'm not sure if this procedure is at a scope of practice of a nurse. So be careful and follow your institution's policy regarding this.
  11. there's a lot of discrimination in capitol medical center... board rating should now be 80% or higher... you must a graduate of known UNIVERSITY preferably in metro Manila. Actually they are accepting application as long as you have this qualifications. However, this is for manpooling only. They usually contact you after 6mos-1yr and sometimes over 1 yr. Ironicall, 80% and above board rating and a university graduate don't apply for the graduates of their own school.
  12. If you really want to be at special area, you should try on ward first. Based on my experience, I tried to work in medicine ward first, then on medical ICU (Training on hospital). After that one hospital trained me to their special unit and later on hire me as ICU Nurse. So most of my experience was on special area. However, I believe exposing yourself to the ward first will make you better in those special unit of your choice. And if you really dedicated, enroll yourself to graduate school. that what's make you an expert to your chosen field. Be patient. have a good plan in your career!
  13. from cubao, how can you get there? thanks.
  14. yes, they accepting nurses even without experience. but having experience of course has an advantage for you to be hired. if they need nurses they can give exam every week. I'm a nurse there before so I know SOME info about the hospital.
  15. I believe CCNAPI is not under PHC but their office is located at PHC. Anyways, CCNAPI offers BLS-AHA and ACLS-AHA. However, I believe its not that important whether it is with AHA or not when applying to hospitals here in Philippines. And besides even without AHA accredited BLS or ACLS, they still aligned their teachings to standard of AHA. So don't misinterpret it. Although AHA is better, it cost higher.
  16. This hospital now has better management now compare to its later years... Unlike it past years they don't have HR. But now they have so its more organize. But compare to leading hospitals, they still have many works to do. I think they offer a paid training here. yes you will receive your allowance while training. Salary was increased but still you know. But for the situation right now, i think this hospital is worth trying especially for new board passers.
  17. just study pharma, medical surgical... if you have experience that would be easy... although out of 25 takers.. 3-4 will only pass based from what I noticed. Goodluck.
  18. CCNAPI and Philippine Heart Foundation are different..
  19. Sorry to say.. but QMMC stop the professional nursing training program... because of memo from DOH. hope it has positive outcome.. hire nurses!
  20. 2 mos in ward.. and then after that you may re-apply for 3 mos in special area. You can't choose your area. and they designated their trainees randomly. Example if you assign in medicine ward, its more likely that you will be assigned at MICU if you re-apply again.
  21. Of course its not a staff nurse working experience. this is a training to ENHANCE your skills. its like BLS, ACLS, and IV training. They were really helpful especially for the new board passers to experience the REAL settings in preparation for you to be a better staff nurse in future. Your lucky its free now. But I'm not saying that you will train yourself in your entire career. Definitely it has a weigh in your credential when you are applying as a staff in different health institutions. So why not try this while waiting to be contacted by the other hospital you applied. Yup! there are FEW hospitals that accepting even without experience BUT you have to WAIT. Manage your time well dude. Be wise.
  22. QMMC professional nurse training program is now free... unlike in past is 1k/mo. but the application for it will be resume next year.. after successful training you will get a certificate of training from them. Goodluck nurses!
  23. could someone share about salary of nurses in tmc slmc cmc csmc ahmc mmc and others...
  24. i also took the exam this monday... Godbless to us..
