  1. Zahryia, you are absolutely right about "your" safety. If I do not feel comfortable traveling in inclement weather conditions, then 99% of the time I won't. Because if anything were to happen to me while attempting to make it to work, it would be on me. The facility will keep running and I will be easily and quickly replaced.
  2. I have called out due to inclement weather before. I have also took the chance by risking my life as well to go to work to help out on my off days, in bad weather. I have been offered rides by my job to work, but when I asked about bringing me home, I'd get no response. Didn't matter that I have a family to tend to as well. Yes nursing is a 24/7 job and we want our co-workers to be able to depend on us. However, sometimes that is not always the case. As nurses we have to keep in mind that healthcare facilities are going to run rather 1 person or 10 calls in or not. Of course the unit would be better off with all of its staff, but that isn't always going to be the case.
  3. Just sent it.
  4. Thanks LunahRN! I am soooo excited.
  5. I graduated from SUNY Morrisville in 2000 with my RN degree. I also know others that have gone through the SUNY system as well. If I were still in NY, I'd definitely go back to them to pursue the rest of my schooling.
  6. Oh ok, are you online at Arizona or there now? What's your major? Im almost there, yeah!
  7. What type of work do you do now, if you dont mind me asking?
  8. This is an unfortunate situation for you. Some nurses are made just to be floor nurses, educators, etc... Sometimes it takes a special nurse to be well rounded and to be able to function in more than one aspect of nursing. I hope the rest of your program goes well.
  9. Yes I am. I emailed to your other address.
  10. I received your email. Im in Suffolk.
  11. Aztova, where are you located?
  12. Thanks Tnbutterfly. I was looking all over for the email link lol. How are you this am?
  13. I dont see an envelope
  14. Hey Aztova, I was just trying to figure it out as well. Is there anyway we can exchange emails?
  15. So true. I do not know what to do anymore. There arent many options at all for me here.
  16. I am still looking around at other programs.GRE is not required for any of their NP programs anymore.
  17. Unfortunately, we need more schools like USI. I am currently completing my BSN at Virginia Commonwealth University. We are in our 3rd and final semester and alot of my classmates still cannot follow basic instructions on their own. We are all adults and I understand we all learn differently. But people need to realize that when you obligate yourself to an online program that NO ONE is going to be held responsible for the work but yourself. It is sad that people have to learn the hard way, but it happens.
  18. I had applied and got accepted to Hampton U a few years ago. I never went for various reasons with my primary one being lack of communication. Cost was another major factor. Instead I completed my BSN through VCU. That was the best decision that I have ever made.
  19. University of Cinncinati is online as well.
  20. University of Cinn does not require GRE anymore for the NP Programs. I am currently looking into online NP programs myself. Not sure if I want to focus on Family or Adult.
