i applied in december '08 when i found out about the program.

my friend is a nurse in california and she told me there is a hiring freeze for graduates that were not previously employed at the hospital. Her hospital is only hiring new grads that have had previous employment at the hospital she is working at.

where can i find Kaplan and saunders books, can someone please post the website details. I am a pre-nursing student. thanks

Good luck BTwisted1. I hope you get in. I applied online today; and mailed in all my transcripts yesterday via fedex; am hoping to get in the first admission period. TJU is my first choice. I applied last year but was put on the waiting list; i guess i didnt apply early enough .

atomic woman how are you finding the FACT? What do you find challenging about the programm?

With your four years experience and your ability to study and pass the nclex. Believe me you will be fine and eventually pick up very quickly with practice in a hospital setting how things are done here in the USA. For example i remember when i came to the USA from England i thot i would never be able to drive on the right side of the road; i had been driving on the left side of the road for 15 years in england. But now i dont even think about my driving, i am now very confident.

it may help if you get a cna licence which takes a few weeks. with this you can gain experience dealing with patients. if you are able to work in a hospital you get to see what the nurses do and you could always request to shadow a nurse in a particular department. thats great i have been checking all week. I wonder if they will be offering any scholarships for the 2010/2011 class; i know with the economy it seems like a few institutions are cutting back.

Has anyone applied yet for the FACT programme for 2010?
