  1. So what is the tax situation for a married couple renting out their house?
  2. So if you rent out your home you cannot have the tax benefits?
  3. We'll I have tried the big agencies like cross country. They told me many hospitals will not allow a spouse to work on the same floor at the same time.
  4. My wife and i both have three years everience in the ed. we are looking for travel assignments where we can work the same days. however we have seem to hit a block wall after making that request. Anyone have better luck?
  5. What was the hardest part
  6. I am a new grad and I have been working in the er of a small rural hospital with about three beds. I have been working here for about two months, but they have all sorts of issues and isn't the bat place to be. Now I have an interview for an er hospital at a large hospital with over thirty beds. Don't have much experience....any advice on what to expect or anticipate for the interview ?
  7. SO you guys are saying WGU....is no different than any of the other BSN programs in terms of acceditations? My main issue is if I decide to further my education and become a NP...how will WGU look to other schools?
  8. Well, nurses verify INFORMED consent - which means the patient discussed the procedure with the doctor, they understand the procedure, and they are capable of making decisions regarding their care.
  9. I am in the same boat...Western Governors seems like a great option with flexibilty and cost...but I feel like a school such as Ohio University that also has a campus would look much better one my resume as well looking much better if I decide to persue a masters.
  10. Looks like I passed. I am officially on the states website.
  11. Took the nclex yesterday...shut off at 75 qestions. I got the good you"re already registered pop up from pearson vue....but I don't trust that thing so I guess I gotta wait until tomorrow for their unofficial results.
  12. 4 days to go....Anyone took it yet? Any last min studying advice?
  13. I highly dobt 90% of your questions were SATA
  14. Well, dont be discouraged. If you had that many questions you must have been close. Im scheduled at the end of the month, but im worried about meds. Were there many med questions on your test?
  15. wow, thats rough. How many questions did you have?
  16. I started off with saunders now I'm switching to Kaplan. I agree with everyone Saunders questions are a lot easier than ati and kaplan
  17. I guess my next question is does experience wash away the fact you obtained your license from an unaccredited program? Perhaps I would be able to find employment in another area before moving back to NY.
  18. Are you sure about that? I mean how would they even know where you graduated from if you just show them a transcript saying you graduated from the school you got your BSN from
  19. Yes, it does matter where you are looking for a job, but in NYC it seems to be the gold standard in every hospital
  20. I am about to graduate school from an unaccredited nursing program...and I noticed a trend that most hospitals now want you to graduate from a NLN accredited nursing program. Will it matter if I graduated from an unaccreditied nursing program if I get a BSN from a CCNE accredited program?
  21. There are a few RN-BSN scools out there that will accept concorde credits, but these are all for-profit schools...tuition will be another 50k.
  22. So...I was always under the impression once you have an RN license it doesnt matter where you get it from as long as you are enrolled in a BSN program you could get a job at the hospital. Well, I plan on moving back to NY and I realized all of a sudden hospitals are now not only requiring you graduate from an accredited program, but an NLN accredited. Are there any NLN online programs there that will take credits from unaccredited schools? I know university of pheonix will, but they are rediculously overpriced and are just CCNE accredited.
  23. Is it at the discretion of the school? Does it count against their passing rate if you fail?
