  1. Gosh I hope so, because right now I'm strongly considering quitting and just pursuing public health (non-nursing) or OT or anything else. I hate the paperwork, but I guess any job will have that. I hate the incredible amount of anxiety I have every s...
  2. FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

Is it too early to start a thread like this? LOL I'll be finishing up my pre-requisites this fall, and then applying in the spring for the Summer 2010 session. I still need to study for the NAT and actually take the exam and take a CPR course. I'm co...
  3. I think that would be in approx 2-3 years from now MissIt, LOL. I have to finish my ASN, then transfer to the uni for the BSN, then it's like the 3rd or 4th semester I think. I don't know if I can hold out that long. Thanks for your replies, I app...
  4. Just wanted to add, my grades are good, so that's not a problem. I read things about immunization clinics, breastfeeding support, WIC, education, disease prevention, and those things appeal to me. Can I work in those areas without a nursing degree? ...

The HESI we just took today - what did we need to make on it?
  7. FSCJ/FCCJ point system/withdrawing

Pick up the application packet from the school, and it will explain everything. Basically you figure points for your grades for your pre-req classes - # of credit hours x grade (A=4, B=3, etc.). Then you take the NAT and your points are multiplied ...

  11. FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

melt, congrats on doing well on the NAT! FSCJ doesn't recognize + or - on the grades. A B+ counts as a B. 202 is definitely good. :)

  13. FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

It's just 90 days. If anyone would like to buy the prep book for the NAT, please PM me. I didn't use it, but maybe you will find it helpful.
  14. FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

I seem to remember them saying do NOT contact any of the hospitals, that they will find out.
  15. Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

Anyone know if we can use a digital watch, or does it have to be the regular kind?
  16. Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

I really like the idea that we'll be the same group (24 of us) throughout the entire program.
  17. Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

FYI, payment deadline for classes is tomorrow, 4/15.
  18. FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

The only class I've seen in a 4 week is nutrition... but I guess that won't help you since it's not a FSCJ requirement, sorry.
  19. FCCJ Summer 2010 hopefuls...

Congrats to all 6 of you!
  20. Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

  21. FCCJ/FSCJ Fall 2010 Hopefuls

Have you taken Microbiology yet? I am pretty sure that FSCJ requires your Chem to be done (because it is a pre-req for Micro) but allows your Micro to be in-progress when you apply.
  22. Is it okay to ask for an extended start date?

I haven't done this before, but just thinking... instead of explaining that you just want to wait to get money, could you explain that you want to tie up loose ends with your previous employer? Or that you would like to see to the wrap-up of a "proj...
  23. I am also interested to see the replies to your post. My husband dealt with diabetes and kidney failure (dialysis) for a while, and so while many people have made comments that I should work in those areas, I really don't want to. Like you, I felt ...

Has anyone read the ratemyprofessors reviews for N/W instructors? :uhoh21:
  25. Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

Sorry about that Marina. I also chose nights/weekends because it was at Deerwood, so I am really disappointed. I am going to stay though. I'm sure you'll get in next semester. Misti, Jennifer, Heather, Angela, Debbie, it was great to see/meet you ...
