Hi, Im in my first year of nursing school.Trust me... Some of them girls are not making the grades like they're portraying. Some are like you or even worst! If you can, ask for fewer hours at your job. I just work 2-3 days a week 8 hr shifts with a C (80.1) avg. Not the best, but my head is above water. I believe you can handle the 15hrs, just stay FOCUSED Good luck in the future. :)

I have a stethoscope with the blood pressure cuff combo. It was only $34.88 from amazon.com I currently dont have and scissors or penlight. U might want to invest in rolling backpack also. Those are going to be heavy! Good Luck!

Hi everyone! Thanks for all the advice. And yes, Mi Vida Loca, its homework! We have to do all the chapter terms and the objectives that are at the beginning of each of the assigned chapters! Its rough because I have 2 other classes too! But, wit a prayer, I will make it through. Matties Mama, they give us a semester calendar, but its just so much to try and study for a test. They throw such much at us. And Im bout to make note cards right now and hop to studying. Thanks again everyone!

Yes, I agree u may have a cheap stethoscope. I have an ADC Cherokee (INEXPENSIVE) and the sounds are very clear to me. Our instructors say that Prestige is a pretty good brand. Its a generic of Littmann. Good Luck!

Ok, we started school on the 20th last Thursday. On the first day they assigned us 4 chapters to be due the next day. And everything has to be handwritten! They said because they dont want us to copy and paste our work.And now due monday is 11 chapters! And Friday we have a test on about 10 different chapters. Can anyone tell me any tips on studying for that much info? Thanks :)

Yes, I agree. I asked my advisor if she knows how many people are in the program and she said she doesnt quit know just yet because some may not show for registration or first day of class. So just be patient and pray about it.

This is so true! Im glad that our school gave us a list of books with the ISBNs listed! I needed 13 books for this semester and it wouldve cost me at least $900 bucks, but thank God for amazon, half.com, and ebay I only paid like $450 in total! We are in a Recession, gotta save as much as u can!
