  1. this is exactly the route i am hoping to pursue... its inspirational to see he was so successful!
  2. congratulations!!! posts like this give me the motivation to keep on trucking
  3. i’m surprised at how early everyone starts! i have a cpr course this weekend and orientation next week but class doesn’t start until september 10th. i am in an asn program and have all my pre-reqs done so it’s just the actual nursing courses from here on out. it was easier and cheaper for me to go the asn route then rn to bsn program so here i go! if all goes well in 3 ½ years i’ll be completely finished with my bsn…. here goes!! i have also started reading my fundamentals book to try to get ahead. we only received our assignments for the first month and there are 2 tests, a paper, and a ton of reading so id like to get ahead with what i can now. i’m so excited to start but bummed our first clinical round doesn’t start until november. i’m so nervous to be in the hospital but anxious to start!
  4. I have a littmann with rasberry tubing.... had my name lasered on there so it doesnt go missing and if it does it wont be gone for long!
  5. I think it all depends on how well you handle the workload for each course and how much time you are able to devote to studying - do you work, have children, etc? Anatomy and Chemistry can be challenging as they involve lots of memorization but psychology is a relatively easy course and the material is interesting which helps. If you are good at math then Statistics won't be too much of a challenge for you either. I love math and enjoyed my Statistics course and passed with an A. Best of Luck!
  6. this thread has been extremely helpful in preparing for this fall for my first semester of an asn program. it seems most students are taking other gen ed classes along with their nursing courses. i have finished all my gen ed courses and will only be taking one nursing course each semester for 4 semesters. i will also be working full time around my class/clinical schedule. i am a very organized person but i am worried about having time for myself and other obligations besides school (boyfriend, friends, etc).... any advice on how to balance school with everyday life?
  7. I am in section B - H. Shedden and I. Loria.
  8. Awesome, thanks :) I can't wait to get started this fall. I just finished buying my books... all $600 worth but it looks like we use them for 2 semesters?
  9. curry college is another that is about 15 minutes from boston. they should accept most of your general ed classes that you have already taken for your aa. a few friends have graduated from this program and although it can be a tough program they have a great reputation. good luck!
  10. thanks!! also hoping to see if anyone else on here will be starting their clinicals at laboure this fall? (probably should have added that in the first post!)
  11. Does anyone know what Laboure's clinical uniforms look like? I am starting clinicals this fall and am just curious! Thank
