Transcript Evaluation
Hi, I am enrolling at WGU for the RN-BSN program and I was wondering how long it took for transcripts to be reviewed or an average timeframe... I received an email 2 days ago saying they had been received but there was no timeframe as to when I should expect the evaluation to be done. Thanks!

Thanks everyone! & @Tas1987 I think the first time I didn't take things as seriously as I should've, I graduated and I got "ok" scores using ATI but I didn't do anythibg extra. 2nd time I really studied, redid ATI, and read the 35 pg study guide a couple of times, I read this the day before and even the day of my test. I also read and did the practice test from the Kaplan Strategies book. I honestly wish I would've had more time to use both my PDA book and the yellow Saunders book, I probably would've passed with less questions:)

So today I took the NCLEX-RN! I was scheduled for 12:30p and I arrived at 11:30a, they allowed me to begin at around 11:45a. I got all 265 questions, last test I believe I got 180. Anyway had mostly prioritization, delegation, and infection control questions, I got 4 or 5 ECG questions, no math, a lot of pharm (including herbal meds) and 2 or 3 drag and drop. As far as SATA I had quite a few but I didn't actually keep track. Ok so I got to my car at around 3:20p and tried to do the trick, it kept saying "Ready for Delivery" so I pulled off and then drove to another parking lot down the street (idk why pretty sure my brain wasn't working) finally it said "Delivery Successful" & I tried to re-register and I got the "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled your exam..." pop up! I am scared to become too excited because I read that there is a 2nd scoring and people's good pop up was not accurate. I'm anxious to know how long I will have to wait since I tested on a Friday!

VATI Scores...testing Friday
Thanks! I will continue going over it. I just took the comprehensive practice and got a 69.3% ...so I am pretty sure my coach won't be giving me the predictor tomorrow. Either way idk if I want to take it the day before I test anyway lol!
-
VATI Scores...testing Friday
Yeah my school was Pro VATI and ATI last year and apparently they've switched to Kaplan...I think I may read through the rationales and maybe take the the comprehensive practice just to see how I do and then focus on the 35 page study guide. ...and you are very welcome!

VATI Scores...testing Friday
I honestly don't know about VATI either, I agree with you that their test bank doesn't seem to be very large and I don't know if my coach is going to give me the predictor before I test Friday smh. I do have the strategies book and also the PDA book but I doubt I'll have enough time to go through both (my procrastination is horrible) I should've read these a long time ago. Do you think reading the answer key to read through the rationales would help? Btw good luck with your "hold" I'm so scared to take the test and I cannot imagine after all that having to wait even longer for your results...praying for you!

VATI Scores...testing Friday
So I see people share Kaplan scores but I am using VATI so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they think about my scores...I know they say 60% and up is generally where you want to be but does anyone have anymore input?? A little background I graduated last year & did VATI but pretty much rushed through and didn't actually get the green light but tested anyway, my comp predictor said I had an 89% chance of passing on the 1st attempt. Now I am trying again THIS FRIDAY! Here are my scores so far: 6/5/14 - Fundamentals 63.3% 6/29/14 - Pharmacology 70% 7/7/14 - Adult Med Surg 74.4% 7/10/14 - Maternal Newborn 71.7% 7/14/14 - Nursing Care of Children 63.3% 7/15/14 - Mental Health 75% 7/15/14 - Leadership 73.3% I haven't taken the predictor yet but I took the "NCLEX FINAL" within ATI and only received a 61.3% ....my coach hasn't given me the ok to take the comp predictor yet and wants me to take a comp practice first so I will do that tonight and see what happens.

What do you guys think of Medtech College?
The credits do transfer...I know for sure (people I graduated with are currently enrolled) IWU, WGU and Kaplan.

Have a little over 30 days to take NCLEX-RN
Yes, I'm sorry IWU too and yes I will go for my RN to BSN. And if you do go the LPN route I believe ISU has an LPN to BSN program and during clinicals one of the nurses I met had gotten her LPN from medtech and was doing that program. I am almost certain it was ISU.

Have a little over 30 days to take NCLEX-RN
The program was ok, like any program it had its ups and downs. What really attracted me to the program was that I could go full time nights and weekends literally. I believe you mean the NLNAC Accreditation and no the RN program is not although it is state accredited. As far as hospitals hiring I have heard the same but most hospitals in Indianapolis want a BSN or higher anyway. I know Kaplan and WGU accept MedTech credits and both of those schools are CCNE Accredited.

Yes I did. I graduated last year

Virtual ATI
Virtual ATI gives you access to a Coach and several modules (Pharm, Maternity, Psych, etc) basically you take the comprehensive and based on your scores they develop a study plan for you and you go through and take ATI tests on each subject. If you score a 60% or higher you move on to the next subject if not you remediate and then the coach will have you take another ATI test. Once you pass all the subjects with 60% or higher then you do another Comprehensive predictor and they give you the green light recommending you take the NCLEX within 2 weeks.

Have a little over 30 days to take NCLEX-RN
Thanks so much! I just took the 180 question practice in the Kaplan book and got a 63% not great but honestly not as bad as I thought! I can't actually afford the qbank or any other online reviews so I'm hoping with the material that I have and the other two that you mentioned that were free that I can still pass!

GOT MY ATT TODAY
Hi! I am scheduled to test for the 2nd time July 18th. First time I only used VATI & to be honest I didn't actually study. Now I am basically cramming from now until my test date because my application expires July 22nd. I just never found the motivation to start studying again after failing anyway I am using the Kaplan Strategies 2013-14 book (just took the practice test on the CD and got a 63%), I also have the Hurst lectures, PDA, & the yellow Saunders book. I still have access to VATI but I just don't feel like I really like their questions that much. Anyway GOOD LUCK!

Have a little over 30 days to take NCLEX-RN
Ok, so last April I graduated, I took the test 5/28/13 and failed...! I got really depressed about it and couldn't really focus. I reapplied in July 2013 & now I have to take the test in the next 30 days! I still have access to VATI, also have the 2013-14 Kaplan Strategies book, the yellow Saunders book, and LaCharity PDA. Where should I start? I know this is very last minute and not the way I should study but if anyone has any suggestions or advice I would greatly appreciate it!
-
NCLEX medication questions?
I had ONE pharm question, about HMG-CoA...that's it!

Reschedule NCLEX-RN?!!
Thank you! I don't want to say I'm glad someone else went through this...but in a way I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only person that failed. I haven't had it in me to start studying again...but after reading that I think it is time to dust myself off and start again. I am going to read and reread the Kaplan book and I am also planning on purchasing the PDA by Lacharity and the Saunders book as well...I'm unsure if I want to do more VATI...I guess it can't hurt but I just feel that it didn't work the 1st time so maybe it isn't for me necessarily. Hopefully now that I know what to expect I will pass this second time!!!!
