I took the nclex a few days ago and got the full 265 questions, all of my friends had gotten the 75questions I was really nervous, But thank God I passed!!!!!! wooooohoooooooo!:smiley_aa

First thing Say goodbye to all of your friends, you will not be spending anytime with them until your break in Dec. Do alot of practice questions for fundamental exams, go to the success center, they are very helpful some of the tutors are students and they will give you good information. Print the power points and write down points as the teacher lectures on it. for me for the assessment class it is very important to have a study group, because you will have to practice on each other this helps if you are doing something wrong you all can help each other and figure it out. for skills vital signs is very easy buy a blood pressure pump it cost like 6 bucks and you can practice on family members taking blood pressure, ummmm for Pharm, the teacher gives very great reviews, just record her and listen back to the tape and also there are practice questions in the success center, also read i think it is chapter 3 in the pharmocology ati book thats what help me to figure out the calculations. Good luck!!!!!!!!! I am in my 3rd semester now whew!!!!! I have to tell you the most important thing for you to do is manage your time, every time you are done with one test, you have to start studying for the next one, you have no breaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Grad2011 I did buy some of my books, not all as yet. My class went well.... The professor seems pretty nice, she had already assigned a reading that I was unaware of due to the late registration. Its kinda hard to tell on the first day:cool: We're suppose to have a test next week. Maybe I will know more then. Good luck!!!

Also, When you go to the clinic, try to be subtle about it, instead of shouting to the whole world (like i did):smackingf "I NEED THESE TESTS DONE FOR NURSING SCHOOL" LOL:Dtry specifying what it is you really need, leave the school part out of it until your actually seen by the doctor or nurse try using phrases like " I am here for an MMR shot" or I am here for a MMR Titer test, I also would like to have a drug screening test done" :nono:Nobody cares that you're in nursing school, I know its exciting and amazing :dancgrp:but please try to maintain your composure!!!!!!!!!

Also i went to a walk-in clinic, and paid around 50$ and they did all the tests i needed! Hopefully soon I can PM to give you the details.....

Hey, Im in the other class that starts at 1pm. I wanted ponce but it was to late for me. I went to a clinic that gives the Hep B shot for free. However, you cannot say that it is for school or work because they will charge you $100+ . Well let me know how your first day of class is!!! I am so excited!

Hello everyone, I too was accepted into Miami dade nursing progran Generic FT! I did not get a letter or a call but rather an email on my mdc account it was on the 16th of Dec, saying that I had to respond by the 18th if I were still interested!!!! I am so excited!!!! any advice from people that are in the program?

Hey bumblebee, got a question for u. I am done with my prereqs for the AS this summer, but not sure if I will get in the program for miami dade for the fall. I am wondering if I should continue with the prereqs for the AA and then apply to fiu. What do u mean, when u say the AS and also AA. Do I have to complete both of them and become an RN in order to get into FIU? I am confused.
