Hello everyone, I graduated from school back in september, took my nclex on april 13, got my passing results may 18 and I AM still waiting on my license:yawn:. I have been looking for jobs while i wait but unfortunately, i live in los angeles, ca and to be honest companies do not want to hire new grads, they only want people with experience....... I just want to know how on earth we grads are going to get experience if they dont give us the opportunity to get the experience.......hello!!!!!!!. its been almost 2 yrs since i quit my job to go to school, all my savings are almost gone, me thinking that i was going to get a job soon as a nurse but did not happened that way. I really don't know what to do now, i have considered moving to another state but im not sure yet.......... hey you guys, reality hursts alot......... thanks for letting ventilate a bit. eve

I am sorry to hear that, but guess what now you can start preparing yourself for ur next round...... so relax, get yourself together and lets keep on moving, oh and by the way you did not passed the test ok, you have not failed because you will continue your path to a great career!!!! hello mcksmom well i just wanted to advised you not to forget your nursing book, you need to be able to know the content in order to understand what they are asking. When you are doing questions if there is something you dont know write it down and look it up, everything that you bump into that you dont remember look it up. Dont give up, you will make it, just be consistent with your study time and believe in yourself, you finished nursing school so thats a major goal you were able to obtained and now you just have a test to pass and you will be on the road to a great career....... just believe.......... I know what you mean, i went to the mailbox like ten times today, until i saw the lady on the other side of my street, i wanted to go across and take her bag but i had to hold myself...... for just a few more minutes and than she walked to me and gave me a big white envelope, and there it was my picture and with BOLD LETTERS "HAS PASSED". Honestly, I really dont know how your financial status is, but i think that the smartest move will be for you to stay working so you could be generating an income but dont stop looking for a LPN position. Keep in mind that experience counts so just stay and hopefully youll get something good soon. I had to quick my job to go to school full time and now that im done, is so hard for me that i cannot get any type of job so just stay positive, I know that something good will happen to us............. eve

Hello Hdabre! as far as i know yes, I actually started looking for a job already and i dont have my results yet. but like you said is so have finding a job for new LPN, specially here in California! BUT some someone in this website gave a really good advise and that is to start working in LTC first get my year of experience and than move to any place that i want to work......... but that may not be the case for you. Wow Mrs Hansen!!!!! I read every post on this thread the first time i found out about this web and trick, but you really did it, i give you for that statistic. Now i know for sure that this trick is real......... Well i took my exam on april 13, here in Cali!!!! so you know that i still have a week or two of wait time. The only difference between you and i is that my family dont ask anything only a few friends but its ok! this is going to be something for me and by me only. I am sorry for your exam results, but one good source is exam cram. Do the questions, than go back to review the answers and ration.... and whenever you bump into something that you dont know or remember, stop get you nursing book and look it up until u understand it. Any word or subject look it up. That's what i did...... BUT DO NOT GIVE UP, this is just a test that you did not passed this time, it is not over till is over........ you want this, u are healthy, you want a carreer so pick up the pieces and you nursing books of course, and lets keep on moving.... stay positive and you will do great!!!!!!!!!!! good luck eve
