  1. I had common drugs like ferous sulfate, cefiatroxone, and methatrexate (my spelling is off). I took it tuesday and passed..... I honestly didn't think the test was that bad
  2. Wow I was wrong...... I just know that many people outside of UMB have never heard of it when I mentioned it..... My apologies
  3. Also, many people may not know what a CNL is..... I think it is pretty isolated to Maryland
  4. As long as they are leather and imperable to fluids.......... They aren't really worried about them being white, but they are strict about whether they protect you from bodily fluids
  5. Thought so..... Thats where I go now.... I going into my second semester of the BSN program.... They are very unorganized, but don't let that turn you away, the school is awesome and I am happy I went there and I couldn't imagine myself anywhere else.... I am not a CNL, but I can tell you what I know from what I seen.... The CNL is pretty new and they are still trying to figure things out.... I have seen some unfair things on the CNLs behalf in my opinion, but all the CNL's I know still know love it...... let me know if you have any questions..... I'll actually be at the school on Tuesday
  6. The school may not open up till tomorrow that why you can't get in touch with them....... Where are you going?
  7. Hey guys.... I am a current student at UMSON.... I saw your post about them putting you down as out of state.... Don't worry.... I had the same problem and they put everyone down as out of state at first.... They are very unorganized there to the point where it isn't even funny...... They'll straighten it out don't worry..... You just need to get on them..... I hope you guys are excited because you are going to have the best nursing school and it is an amazing experience..... Let me know if you any questions
  8. First of all, Congrats to all of you being chosen and being comissioned.... I just finished my first semester at the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore. I was just wondering, how difficult is it to be chosen to be comissioned as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps? I would really like to join the Army after I graduate because I have heard from many that it is a great experience. I have been having trouble trying to get a medical recruiter to call me back, could this be because I still have 3 semesters left? I would like to start the process soon so that I can go in as soon as possible after I graduate. Any advice would be appreciated.
  9. I bought everything at the bookstore....... For the nursing fundamentals class I bought the package with everything in it so it was cheaper..... Joe
  10. I applied and got into their traditional BSN program, but for their accerlated BSN I don't think you need to take the GRE or if they require your scores because it is a bachelors degree.... No matter where you apply it is going to be competitive.... Right good essays.... I talked to someone who worked there and they said to right about humanitarian stuff you have done.... I turned down JHU for UMB though
  11. AngelP where do you live? If you lived in maryland for over a year I believe you are considered for in state tuition
  12. I forgot to buy mine when I went out there to get the rest of my stuff..... The professor might use it as a grade..... When I went to Salisbury the teachers would ask questions in class and it would count as part of your test grade
  13. When all said and done with me I think I spent about $900 with books, supplies, and uniforms..... But I was able to get used books so it was cheaper.... Tuition is $4000 a semester for instate, but if you throw in fees and health insurance your looking around $5000 or alittle more......
