  1. Hi Brikkz, Did you ever apply for the Jan 2010 class?
  2. Hi Everyone, I just got my acceptance letter in the mail from Akron Institute for their ADN program starting this January. Just wanted to see if anyone else would be starting there too? So excited!
  3. When did you get your email? Congrats!
  4. Nope...not yet!
  5. Let us know when you hear from Kent! I think they either mail or email acceptance/rejection notices soon. Good luck everyone!
  6. I looked back and I think I may have gotten 2 B's? I'm not sure...I have taken way too many college classes! =) Maybe my essay wasn't as good as the rest. I wouldn't worry about it. They can't only be getting people with 4.0's and all A's!
  7. This is my third time applying. And I have A's in all my prereq's and a 3.7 gpa. Sigh...wish it wasn't so hard to get into! Good luck to you all!
  8. Where are you taking your STNA training? So you have to be an STNA in order to work as a PCNA at Cleveland Clinic? Thanks!
  9. Ok, last question....forgot to add this. What campus did you apply at? (the eastern, metro or western?) Thanks again!
  10. Thanks for the quick answer! I just feel so overwhelmed since I'm trying to apply to as many schools as I can in case I don't accepted to some, so I'll have other options. When you applied to Tri-C, did you have to fill out the separate "Health Careers Application" too? I didn't see it on the nursing page, but came across it by mistake on some other degree. I would assume I would have to fill it out too. Ok, I'll with all the questions =) Thanks so much for your help.
  11. Congrats! Do you know when their deadline is for the Spring 2010 class?

The place I"m at now does classes (I'm actually still in class...just started this week). I would love to go to a hospital after. Ugh, already I'm hearing crazy stories about the job and people working here. I didn't realize you could work in a hospital though!
  13. Did you decide on a school? I would love to find out more on NIT too.

The place I'm at in Cuyahoga Falls pays $8.50 until you pass your state test, then it's $9.75 for first shift, $10.75 for 2nd and 3rd.
  15. Hi LookUp2Sky, I was just wondering, did you have to become an STNA at Akron Institute? I'm currently in my 2nd day of an STNA course, I had signed up and paid for it awhile ago hoping it would help my chances of getting into Kent. (it didn't haha) But I decided I may as well take it. But now I'm not so sure, and it seems like a waste of time if I dont' plan on working as an STNA. But if you have to become certified anyways at school, I guess it makes sense to keep taking the course. Just thought I'd get your thoughts on it! Thanks!
