Male Chest Hair and Scrub Tops
I'll hide my chest hair when the women nurses who need a shave do so. Fair enough?

Peer Evals didn't go so well
I LOVE the peer review system! It's a seriously needed reality check for those few RN's who swear up and down that they are Gods gift to nursing and treat everyone else like crap. I don't whine about the rare negative comment on my peer reviews, I do something about them. I had to review a nurse who was a constant complainer. She complained non-stop day in and day out about everything and anything. When I noted that on her review sheet, and how it affected not only her performance on the job, but also other peoples, she went ballistic. She complained for months about how she never complains and how unfair her peer review was

Phi Theta Kappa... is it worth the $55 bucks?
Phi Theta Kappa... is it worth the $55 bucks? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nope. Sigma Theta Tau took my enrollment money and now send me all sorts of donation requests for all sorts of "worthy causes." If you love junk mail, by all means join em.

CNA issue~can anyone advise?
Well let's look at it another way.... How long has she worked there? Are you telling her how to do things she has already been doing for years and years? Are you treating her with respect? Do you trust her and treat her like you do? Are you much younger than she is? Do you talk about her behind her back? I worked my way through nursing school as a CNA and I can tell you firsthand, that about 1 in 5 nurses treat CNA's like dogs. Remember she is doing a tough job for very little money, and perhaps she feels justified in her behavior toward you.

Nose plugs?
Nose plugs are not allowed at the hospital I work for. Offensive odors lose their power after awhile anyway. You'll either get used to it or you won't. For the patient's sake though try to keep a neutral face so as not to embarass them too much. They know where the smell is coming from and it won't help if their nurse is wrinkling their nose and saying ewwwwwww........

What does you hospital give you for Thanksgiving ?
This year we're getting a choice between a $15.00 gift cert to a grocery/department store or one of those Entertainment! coupon books. I'm taking the gift cert, because my wife is an RN also and we'll combine our buying power to buy some truly magnificent and splendid thanksgiving treats..............

First Couple Weeks
saaaaad but truuuuue....... Just keep your lip buttoned, don't give anyone any ammo to use against you and pretty soon you'll sift out a few co-workers who won't stab you in the back the first chance they get. P.S. My advice usually stinks worse than a colostomy on a muggy day.

Please give me advice and tricks to overcome gagging from smell
It may be helpful if you want to experience blinding pain, but to eliminate smells, it may be a bit much. Carmex is a much better choice.
