  1. Found out this morning that I passed!! PVT gave me a lot of piece of mind after seeing so many posts on here. Good luck to all of you taking the test!
  2. Well I took NCLEX this morning at 8 am, it took me about 90 minutes to do it all and it shut down in 75 questions. Ended up with lots of SATA which I hate . Got the good pop up a few hours later so I am really trying to relax and enjoy the weekend even though my test was hard!! I will update when I hear results...Of course I took it on the only Friday the 13th that we will have all year!
  3. I would not hesitate to go ahead with this hospital program, especially if it is a place you may want to work when you get out because you would already have your foot in the door. You have a great support system and that is going to be a huge asset. You will definitely be able to do this, believe in yourself and I promise you can't go wrong!!:)
  4. I applied in September of 2008 and finished all prereqs in May of 2009 and got in for Spring of 2010. Hope that helps!
  5. It is definitely doable. I took A & P II and Micro together this past spring and got A's in both. I don't work but I have 3 kids that are involved in every sport imaginable! Just take it one test at a time and try to look over the stuff a little bit every night that way you aren't cramming before the tests. I usually had notes with me when I went places (games, etc) and tried to study when I could. You will do great!
  6. I have a degree in public relations and actually became a flight attendant after college. I loved the job but I also loved that every day was different and that I was always interacting with different people. We moved around quite a bit with my husband's job (pharmaceuticals) and I began working in an office where every day seemed to be the exact same. I love to be busy at work because it makes the time go by so much quicker and I seem to work better under pressure. After having 3 kids close together, I wished that I would have become a nurse so that I could have continued working even when we moved around. When my Dad became ill and passed away last year, I spent a lot of time researching things on the internet and was so intruiged and I wanted to know more. I am mostly interested in working in oncology or I would love to eventually be in Hospice. After taking A & P I and II and Micro, I have a whole new understanding of the human body and I think it is fascinating!
  7. Congrats and keep up the good work!! I am taking Chem this summer and I'm not looking forward to it. I have done well in Micro and A & P I, II but I think Chemistry will be a different ball game as math is not my specialty:chuckle. Hopefully I will get to post a grade like yours!
  8. Got my BA in Public Relations at 22, married, had 3 boys, finishing pre-reqs in December and then will start an Accelerated BSN in May of 2010 when I turn 42. Will graduate at 43!!
