failed the nclex 3 times ... NEED HELP

- Nursing Student can't find a job with a misdemeanor.
Unfortunately I'm going through the EXACT same thing, same crime too I shoplifted when I was 18 young and stupid yes. I passed boards in April put in about 50-60 applications here where I live and other cities as well, I've had a few interviews but that's it just interviews, never a call back. I am too in the process of having this expunged and its taking forever! I am currently in school pursuing my bachelors wishing I was working as a nurse part time, I believe it is a waiting game until your lawyers expunged this, then you can apply and get a job (since legally you can mark no to the "have you been convicted for a crime" question, if its been expunged). That really all I'm praying for is a job. School and passing the NCLEX was hard enough you'd think landing a job would be the easy part. I completely understand your frustration I'm there with you good thing is hopefully by the time you're done with school you'll have a court date and it would be expunged by then. Just stay positive, I say you didn't get this far for nothing!- Did I fail the Nclex again according to pearson trick??
Unfortunately the Pearson Trick is about 99% accurate- Lamar State College LVN to RN
Does anyone know if once you get accepted into the school, if you can do the pre-reqs online??- Failure Failure Just another Failure....
If you made it through nursing school you can definitely make it through the nclex! What I did to pass is I invested in these three things 1.Saunders book 2. Online Hurst Review 3. iPhone NCLEX apps I made a calendar and dedicated a few hours a day (Mon-Friday) to reading and studying. The Hurst Review is really neat because it made learning somewhat fun so it sticks with you. As for the NCLEX apps this was convenient during times I couldn't really prop out my big ol Saunders book like during traffic, waiting at the doctors office etc. this is what I did and passed the second time so its not the end of the world, you just have to really dedicate time. Good luck!- Took nclex this morning got to 176 question and ran out time
I know how you feel I failed the first time and felt like a complete failure and I was bummed out for a long time but if you made it through nursing school you can definitely make it through the nclex! I used Hurst Review and loved it, although it doesn't go into depth about the topics, it is great refresher material I still have membership with Hurst you can PM me if you have questions- nclex times 3....read please
Congrats! Great feeling huh :)- failed the nclex 3 times ... NEED HELP
Yes. After reading any chapter I would then answer questions on the CD- nclex times 3....read please
Do the PVT trick I couldn't wait, as soon as I walked out the testing center I did it and go the good pop up!- failed the nclex 3 times ... NEED HELP
- Need advice for study plan
At the end of every chapter there are questions to review, and on the CD you go to study then click on content and it lists all the topics you can review individually (cardiac, renal etc)- Content review vs. questions to study for the NCLEX
I used Lippincott NCLEX-RN (still covers LVN material), Lippincott's Med Surg, Silvestri Lite, and NCLEX Qbank. You can easily search NCLEX in the search bar in the App store and all of the apps I listed will show up- Need advice for study plan
I would aim at doing 100-200 a day on the chapter I read that day- failed the nclex 3 times ... NEED HELP

I suggest you take the assessment exam on the CD that comes with the Saunders book and at the end view your result and print out the study calendar they make for you, it will list the chapters you need to read each day. As for Hurst that's really great review as well. I studied that along with Saunders (for instance if I read the cardiac chapter I'd listen to the hurst review on cardiac as well so I was we'll informed on cardiac hopefully I made sense :) invest I'm a planner too. Good luck!- Content review vs. questions to study for the NCLEX
What helped me pass was the Saunders book, I like it a lot because it goes in depth about the important things you need to know on the nclex I also used the Hurst Review which is really good because it makes learning a bit fun so it sticks with you and I also used iPhone NCLEX apps that helped me study during times I couldn't (traffic, waiting at the dentist office etc) good luck!- Lamar State College LVN to RN
Can't wait till they post their new start dates! In the meantime I'm doing the pre-reqs they require at A&M. For the current students how is it so far?- Finding a job with criminal record
We all aren't perfect but people change and our past shouldn't define us. I would highly suggest you talk to lawyer to get your misdemeanor sealed (non disclosed) it wont show up in your background checks. Good Luck- Not so excited to start my bridge program
I'm going through the LVN-RN program as well, and I think you should look on the bright side. You're already a LVN and you've already been through the hard part A&P, pharmacology etc. this will be more of a refresher you can say. You're blessed to have a great opportunity to advance your education all the hard work will be worth it in the end just hang in there :)- Took the Nclex PN today
I walked out feeling like a complete failure but I check and got the god pop up as soon as I left the testing center haha I want to say its 99.99% accurate from all the posts I've read on here so you passed, congrats!!- I haven't taken my nclex in about almost 2 years after graduation.
I failed the first time because I waited too long after graduating, I'm going to list what I did to get back on track and pass the second time around :) 1. Saunders book this book is amazing it pinpoints the major things you need to know and it comes with a CD with questions you can answer after every chapter. 2. I downloaded a bunch of nclex apps (most are free), these are good (while your in traffic, waiting at the doctors office etc) you can answer questions and read the rationales, very helpful. 3. I signed up for the online Hurst Review I believe this is very helpful it made learning a little more fun and entertaining so it sticks. I did these three things and passed on the second try. Don't beat yourself up, if you made it through nursing school you can surely pass the NCLEX its just a matter of dedicating a few hours a day to it so don't worry you can do it. Good Luck!- Advice: Best preparations 1 week before taking the test
I was pretty anxious the second time around but thankfully I passed. I suggest you download a few nclex apps and try to answer as many questions as you can on your spare time and make sure to read the rationales too. On the day before the exam I would definitely relax! Watch a movie, get a mani/pedi or a massage. On the day of the exam make sure to eat a really good breakfast! Good Luck!- Nurse with two misdemeanor theft...can't get a job HELP!
I just got my license as a LVN and I've applied every where had a few really good interviews until the issue about my criminal background came up. I shoplifted from the mall in 2008 I was 18 young and stupid! They are both Class B theft misdemeanors, I cannot get them expunged or a non-disclosure from my record because I chose to serve jail time instead of probation (bad decision!) Now I'm in a bind anyone else have something similar as me and has gotten a job? How'd you do it? My last resort is asking for pardon for my crime by filling out a pardon application but it's such a long process grrrrr, HELP! - Nursing Student can't find a job with a misdemeanor.
