Ummmm.....not sure where the poster lives that stated that ADN's work in long term care while BSN's work in acute care BUT, this is NOT true where I live. There is essentially NO difference, nor does anyone particularly care.

Nurses who smoke (before or during a shift) that smell like a carton of cigs...............disgusting!!!! Or even better........stand outside smoking for all the world to see, usually on a corner because the campus is smoke free - Classy!

Although I do not commend or support the original post, I do have to say this: Lashing out at someone in response to being offended by something they have said......reflects on your OWN character. Many of you should be ashamed by your unprofessional, bullying and downright nasty comments. This whole thread is quite shameful.

No, I believe its called life. The instructor is holding your future in their hands. You will come across people who do not have the same values and beliefs many times in your life. You don't always have to argue your own.....you can just say what they want to hear any move on. Its ok, arguing with the instructor about it wont get you anywhere.

You might find a school that offers an MSN in leadership or informatics that do not require any clinical - I believe I have seen a couple on here in fact, BUT you wont find any MSN that involves practice with no clinical time involved.

You only live ONCE......DO IT!!! You can always reinvent yourself again later.

When I was in nursing school 10+ years ago, I learned that you do and say what they want to hear. Of course you don't really feel that way or believe it BUT.....its what you do to get through.

I graduated from Kaplan In January with my BSN - they are nationally and regionally accredited - Don't believe the hype!! And by the way.....they also have many brick and mortor units as well.

Apparently I have not had a minimum of 15 posts so I am not allowed to send PM's.........Can anyone answer how long it took to get a decision? Where did you get your BSN from and what was your GPA when you applied? The wait is driving me crazy!!!!
