  5. i have a question about interim permit to work in california..i am a graduate in the philippines and i dont hold a license in the philippines..am i eligible for interim permit so i can work while reviewing?thanks You will not qualify for the IP for CA for several reasons. First, once you have written the NCLEX exam, this is no longer an option for you. It was designed to be used only for those that have not written the NCLEX exam. It also expires when one writes the exam for the first time. Next issue is that CA actually requires that the foreign nurse possess a CGFNS Certificate, meaning that you have taken and passed the CGFNS exam, plus have passed the English exams to be able to meet the requirements for this. If you do not hold a local license, then you do not meet the first qualification for even being granted permission to sit for the CGFNS exam. Suzanne4
