I'm currently enrolled in the program, and you cannot take more than one clinical at a time. However you can take a clinical plus a core class

this program looks real good. has anyone on here complete the program? any more info on it?

I've heard from many people MDC has become very selective in admissions, I don't doubt it.

Not to sound discouraging, but their alot of consquences being the first class. In my situation i'm the second class in my school, and it seems like they just make up new rules as they go along, they have people in the first batch taking classes without the correct pre-reqs, and now they're holding other students back, i've seen people being forced to repeat classes as well. In my situation it is very frustating. As a school I think they need to get the rules, policies and procedures in order before the next bunch start.

I would be concerned completing your asn with this school, but what I want to know is, if your already a licensed RN and you do their rn-bsn program, will it matter if their not accredited by the proper organizations.

It says their accredited by IAO which is the international accreditation organization (which I never heard of) and they have no physical address neither does IAO. Sounds very fishy........

i just tried to do some research on this school, when you type it in google alot of reviews come up matching saying it's a scam. It sounds, if they are in fact accredited then I'd be interested.

What classes do you need to complete to be eligible to challenge this exam if you are enrolled in a RN program?

Well i'm also currently working on my BSN and plan on applying to all 3 universities. What else would you guys recommend for an undergrad student? So far: a good gpa a good score on the GRE good recommendation letters CCRN ICU experience anything else??????

The thing is with Sanford Brown is that not all their school's are accredited for each program, now there's nothing wrong with going to a school that's not accredited, its just that to be eligible to sit for the state board you will be required to have field experience in addition to your education, where as most schools once you've completed the course you can sit for the exam. Another downfall is there tution, it's very expensive. A lot of people start the program and don't complete it. If you don't complete it, you'll be stuck cause those credits won't transfer anywhere.

you also have to take in consideration that if you do not complete the program, you will have a hard time transferring credits

I havent started the clinicals yet so i dont know - but from hearsay its only 2 days a week

i just started at kaplan Jan. 7th, the classes look easy so far. you should have no problems.

Florida allows you to sit for the CNA exam without schooling - so what that program does is a crash course to give you the basic training needed to pass the test, under the option of challenging the exam.

Keiser now has a long waiting list, you can try city college, i got in right away - but 1) they are very expensive and 2) hardly any schools accept credits from there. but if u do choose to go there if u dont complete the program you will be stuck! you would have to start all over from the begining. half way through the program i got a "C" in microbiology and they dismissed me from the program. I just recently got accepted into the rn program with kaplan - which most of the classes are online but the clincals are done in south florida. you can also try to get your lpn first - b/c miami dade has the lpn-rn bridge program that's not that competitive to get into.

I did mines online and printed out the completion certificate and card. There are alot of sites that do that.

Also, I heard that this program will allow you to sit for your CNA and LPN exams once you've reached a certain amount of credits. Is this true?

I got accepted into the program and plan on starting Jan. 7th. Is anyone on here in this program already? I would like some more information on how the clinicals and seminars work?
