Hi! I am currently in the chapter 31 voc rehab program at Mount Saint Marys College, I consider myself very lucky considering the VA is paying my full tuition and books, considering it is a provate catholic school im super glad, I have 50% service connected disability, 30 PTSD and 20 for my knees, I was a navy hospital corpsman and was deployed to Fallujah, I am kind of curious as to whether or not they will continue to pay for my school because I am only getting my AA, I dont know but honeslty I would think it all depends on how you carry youreself, what youre grades look like, and many other factors, location and the individual voc rehab counseler you get makes a huge difference, I live in southern california and honestly there is not a whole lot of Iraq veterans so I stand out a bit, let me know if you need any advice etc, it's a really great program and will help you no matter what the cost, it doesnt boil down to money, heck its the governments money trust me you earned it, let me know if you have any questions GOOD LUCK!

I just got my letter of acceptance into the "direct nursing option" for spring 09. Does anyone know why I was not put into the basic option? I did have a interview and have a good amount of classes but its kind of a trip how I got accepted into the direct program. From my understanding if you have all the general studie requirements before applying to the program you get accepted into the direct option. I am a little worried now because I was taking a english 1b class and I dropped it because I did not think I would need it. I guess I should be happy that I got into the direct option but it kind of worries me that I dropped that dumb class hehehehe im sure it doesnt matter though. I am commuting from ventura, ca let me know if anyone has any questions.

Hi great post, im waiting to hear for the spring/09 decisions. I already got interviewed and passed the teas requirement (72 not anywhere near great). I called admissions and they said the letters will go out sometime in mid-September im just so anxious to know if I got accepted or not, I have a question for you, "I have a assosicates in general studies, have taken critical thinking but i dont have a philosophy class is there anyway they would accept me into the advanced option if all I need is 1 class? Is there a good chance I will have to take the basic option?, and lastly how good of a sign is it if you got a interview? im am a Navy Hospital Corpsman w/ combat expierence so im thinking that might help my chances thanks!!!!!

Hi ALL!!!, it took me a while to actually sign up for this website but I just wanted to see if there are any other ADN SPRING/2009 applicants for mount saint marys program. I had my interview like a week and a half ago and I think it went well but they said it was going to take until around december 12th to hear any news. Ive heard from some people that if you get a interview its a very very very good sign (like youre in already) ad ive heard from other people that they dont take everyone!! does anyone know??? I just wanted to chat with other people who are as nervous, anxious, and worried as I am. As far was questions go does anyone know how strict they are when it comes to their pre-requistes? I have a critical thinking class but its not a philiosophy-critical thinking so im not sure if their going to take it. Also they say they want a elective in art, music, history, or literature. I have "religions of the world" and other basic general education classes, but im not sure if they meet that requirement or not, i have a associate degree in general studies so I better be ok!!! hehehe, if anyone wants to chat or help me out I would greatly appreciate it THANKS!!!!
