  1. Hello - I am not trying to be a bother, but I really do need these nursing stories!! Even if you just have a place where I could look for this kind of thing, that would be great!! Please, if you have saved someone's life or if you know of someone who has, then please contact me or post on this thread!! Thanks SSOO much!!!
  2. That's a really sweet story!!!:heartbeat
  3. I am going to be a nurse also and I like the NICU because my younger brother spent two months there as a baby and that's what made me fall in love with nursing!!
  4. I really like the name my parents chose for me - Grace Linnea (Linnea is pronounced lynn-ae-a).
  5. Ah! That's scary!!!
  6. In my family many have been sick or injured and had to go to the hospital, but not around Christmas. Once, when my brother was little, on Christmas Eve, his G-tube fell out and he had to go have the hole closed up, but he came home that day - thankfully.
  7. I am going to be a nurse and this was nice to read these pieces of advice!
  8. Here is a little twist. Besides what I already mentioned, if any of you know of places where I could look for more stories like the ones I need, maybe you could post those here also. Thanks a lot!
  9. That's so sad!!
  10. It's amazing what a little singing and humor can do! That is a good one! It is nice that nurses can be there to make a patient's Christmas brighter!
  11. Thanks so much for this! I am planning on being a nurse and this was really helpful to read. You were really determined!
  12. No one has ANYTHING???? I know that there are a lot of great, heroic nurses out there, so maybe you know of stories when someone else saved a life. I really need these, so if you could take the time, I would be most grateful!!
  13. I was wondering if anyone might have a touching story from around Christmas from your experience as a nurse. It would be cool to read all the different ones, and I am sure there are many good ones. :) Anyway, maybe we could get a nice collection together by Christmas.
  14. Thanks for writing this - touching!
  15. Hello CT Nurses, I have a quick request. Might any of you have some stories of when nurses saved lives that you would be willing to take the time to share? I can't find any and I am looking for them for a report/speech I am doing for a class I am in. Preferrably, they should be dramatic enough so that they capture my audience's attention. If you would be able to share them, thanks so much!!! :wink2:
  16. Thanks for the tip, but I couldn't find any life saving stories - does any one else have any? I would greatly appreciate it if you could take the time to share them - because I need them by this Friday - preferrably Thursday night though. Thanks again!
  17. Hello! I am a new member, who is looking for stories of when nurses saved lives, preferrably dramatic ones. I will be using them for a persuasive speech for a speech competition. The goal is to catch my audience's attention and convince them that America needs more nurses. If anyone has some stories that fit this description and would be willing to take the time to share them, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks a lot! :wink2:
