  1. Well, I have been an AllNurses "addict" for a while now, but I never posted a thread (I enjoyed reading everybody elses instead.) So here it goes!! Working in a hospital causes my eyes to become very irritated. I have worn contacts for almost 10 years and I still haven't been able to control how agitated they get. I use rewetting drops at home and that usually helps, but nothing works while I am at work. Now that I have been working night-turn it is even worse! By 4 AM I want to tear them out of my head!!! The cold weather here in Pittsburgh (-10 degrees:crying2: this week) have caused the heaters to crank up and patients asking me if I am ok because my eyes are so red and they think I am crying! Does anybody else out there have this problem? If so, do you have any tips or tricks? I even took desperate measures and pulled out my glasses tonight and wore them to work (My family doesn't even see me in my glasses) but that didn't even help either since I guess I am so used to wearing the contacts!! Any advice is appreciated!! Thankssssssssss!!
  2. Very touching story, Thanks for sharing!
  3. Sorry!!!:bowingpur I didn't mean to startle you. I received my acceptance letter a few months ago so maybe that's why. I had initially applied for this years fall program but they "never received" my transcripts even though I had paid for them and my other school said they were sent. sooo... needless to say I wasn't able to get in this fall. THey held my application for spring and I guess that's why I got everything early. Don't worry though, my cousin and friend are also applying and they didn't receive any information yet. There must be an early information session and another one after they send out the rest of the acceptance letters. Good Luck!! :)
  4. Hi Megan, I start in March as well! As far as the tuition thing goes, I believe they will go over it at the information session in December. I will be there December 11th, so if you aren't there that day I will post what they say on here. Did you happen to get your fingerprints done yet? I still haven't gotten anything in the mail yet and I know they are due in December so I am getting pretty frustrated! Who else starts in March 09? -Steph:nurse:
