  1. I finished everything on time and I finished within the 15 month time frame. The professors for the most part are very helpful and nice... other's are not as nice but everyone wants to see you do well. We all complained as we were going thru the program because of all the care plans and long clinical hours, but now we're all happy... a lot of us are having issues finding jobs but that's another story.
  2. I would recommend the program to other people, I don't regret going there at all. It was great, I met a great group of people and we're all still friends now. That really helped a lot, other people around you won't understand what you are going through...care plan struggles and long clinical hours really get to you. I also graduated from there and then went back. I don't anything about the UMDNJ program but that's another great program I think. I just know that Willy p really prepared us well for the boards, all my friends passed. The breaks are so short it doesn't even really feel like a break.
  3. A ton of girls from my program all had 75 questions and they all passed!
  4. A PM is a private message. But what questions did you have? I will try to answer them. The program is a bit intense at times, but it's very do-able. I work full time throughout the majority of the program even when professors would try to discourage me from working.
  5. I graduated from the willy p accelerated program august 2008. It was a great program! PM me for specific questions.
  6. Have you looked into accelerated BSN programs? That's what I did... it took 16 months.
  7. I'm a virgo - Yay! I picked the right career! haha I hope to go into L&D or the NICU
  8. I'm a new grad and currently seeking employment. A lot of the hospitals around where I live do not seem to be hiring new grads, so I just wanted to know how far away is your place of employment from your home. I'm asking because what if I happen to get a 12 hr. overnight shift... how far is too far when it comes to driving after a long day/night of work?
  9. I wish I could offer some advice. I'm a brand new grad myself also in NJ and I can't find a job either out of the 21 people I graduated with only 3 have jobs, it's a tough market. It really sucks
  10. I am in the same exact position, I took a job at a department store making just $7 an hour to try to get by. It's crazy...I thought there was a nursing shortage?!?
  11. Congratulations! I wish I could find a job.... I'm having lots of difficulty here in North Jersey.
  12. That's interesting, we had to take it as an exit exam. It will seem bad throughout the test, but you will probably be pleasantly surprised with your results. That's how it was for most of the people I went to school with. As far as the math I would look at regular nursing calculations, know how to change pounds to kilograms and also how to determine your required dose. I had a great book that helped me out...Clinical Calculations it was a life saver.
  13. I want to go into Labor & Delivery but I think I need some Med-Surg experience first, so that's what I'm looking for.
  14. I worked at a hotel, which was great because I was able to sit at the desk and study. I got paid $11/hr.
