  1. hi! i've been trying to find the mode of payment for name/address change. I just married recently and changed my last name. according to the form i signed, i need to pay $30 for a new license. Can i pay with personal check or cash? If i can pay with personal check, what should i write at the "Pay to" portion? Hope you could help me out. thanks! :)
  2. Is it true that you can be denied entry to US if you are a NCLEX-RN passer? Is there a way for the consul to know that you are an NCLEX-RN passer? I just want to visit US again as a tourist but I am afraid that I might get denied entry.. I don't want to waste money if that should happen.. My relatives are telling me that I won't be able to enter the US anymore because I already passed the NCLEX-RN. I don't have SSN so I know I can't work in US. I have no intention of working in US without SSN. Anyone out here with this experience or advice? Please share it to me to enlighten me. Thank you.
  3. thank you so much smile123.. :) some posts said to put clinicals and rle while others advice again it.. so that makes it a little confusing though.. anyway, i'm a foreign-trained nurse who recently passed NCLEX_RN. so i'm trying my luck in looking for an employer to sponsor me.. although times right now seems to be bleak, i'm still hoping for the best.. hospitals offering new grad programs would have been great, but due to my present situation, i can't participate in one of those as much as i'd like to.. I've tried to look for hospitals offering sponsorship but it seems there's none at the moment.. :typing: So, I'm going to try to apply in convalescent homes that could offer visa sponsorship instead.. I'm trying to polish up my resume because one director of nursing asked that I send in my resume for them to look at. I know it's going to be tough luck but then it's better to try and try than to just give up easily. :hngon: So thank you again for your informative reply. May God bless you always! :loveya:
  4. hi! need your advice. i'm a new grad and obviously don't have work experience as RN. I was wondering if it's appropriate to include in my resume my tutoring and babysitting jobs under work experience? or should i just focus on my clinicals and related learning experience? hope to hear from you all soon. thanks!:heartbeat
  5. how many questions you had on your exam? 75 what did you use as a review material? handouts from merge saunders 3rd ed book saunders 4th ed cd kaplan nclex-rn 08-09 enrolled in a review center or home study? 6 months before nclex - reviewed in merge 1 1/2 months before nclex - self reviewed (had i known about suzanne's plan long before, maybe i would have saved money by not enrolling in a review center and just trying it. but i must admit merge helped me too. however, i realized that self-review is more important. being in a review center is more of a security blanket.) percentage of topics you're very familiar with on the actual nclex questions? can't quite say it.. it seems familiar but the choices were somewhat not. very tricky. some questions, you can't easily tell which are the distractors while on others, you could easily eliminate the wrong choices.:uhoh21: what did you feel after you finish your exam? i can't tell if i did well or not. a part of me felt that the exam was easy while the other part felt that maybe most of my answers were wrong, that's why the questions seem easy. i don't know. while reviewing for the exam, i prayed for just 75 questions and easy questions. then during the exam, when i was in # 70, i felt that the computer will shut off after #75. so i was trying to retract my prayers and was telling god that i want to answer more than 75 questions if needed to pass the exam. when the computer shut off after #75, i didn't know what to feel. i had mixed emotions - relieved to have finished the exam, happy because i got what i prayed for, scared because the exam felt somewhat easy and most posts here said that it should be getting harder and harder, and anxious because i didn't want to disappoint my loved ones by failing. after 2 agonizing weeks of waiting, praise god! i passed! i was so overwhelmed with relief and joy, that i was crying while opening the envelop. i hope everything will fall into place soon not only for me but for everyone here as well. goodluck and godbless!
  6. congrats! i hope i will also pass my exam.. :balloons:
  7. i'm sorry to hear about that.. pray for strength and courage.. i'll be praying for you too.. God bless..
  8. goodluck and Godbless to you aruna.. sometimes i wish ca supports quick results, so that the agony of waiting is not so long.. well, i hope we'll both receive good news.. i'll include u in my prayers..
  9. don't lose hope winny103.. at least anytime soon, your agony of waiting will be finished unlike me who still have to wait for a long time.. i hope you'll get a good news.. i'll be praying for all of us..
  10. thanks leyou.. i would be praying for you also.. hope we both pass the exam.. do try to have some rest for a while to ease up your headache.. Godbless to both of us..
  11. thanks for the kind words and encouragement everyone.. i'll try to do your advices.. i really do hope that i pass.. Godbless to all who are reviewing and going to take the nclex exam and who are also waiting for their results..
  12. took nclex exam today.. computer shut off at 75 and i came out of the testing site not knowing if i did well or not.. it felt like i didn't know anything or didn't study although i did really study hard for this exam.. i'm trying to look for some of the answers to questions i've encountered, but i can't remember it all.. i know should stay positive but i keep on thinking that maybe i answered some "easy" questions wrongly.. waiting for the result is the hardest part.. sigh.. just needed to get this off my chest.. i hope i passed.. i can't afford to fail.. but i've surrendered everything to God.. i'll accept whatever the result will be.. goodluck and God bless to everyone..
  13. thanks suesquatch! :thankya: i really want to check out available dates first and i'm afraid that i might automatically lose my current appointment once i click reschedule.. ok.. i'll try that! thanks again!
  14. hi everyone! just like to ask about rescheduling NCLEX.. i'm thinking of rescheduling my exam but i want to see first if there would be an available schedule that i want.. would clicking the reschedule link in my pearson vue account automatically cancel my appointed date of exam? hope someone could reply about this asap. thanks!
  15. i need advice whether i should postpone my exam just to be able to enter a nursing job with my interim permit, or should i just go on with my exam? i have tried to apply before, but most of the replies to my applications were i'm not qualified. just recently, a nursing facility seems to be willing to hire me as long as my interim permit's still active. so my problem is: if i will take my nclex exam, my interim permit will become void then before i could get hired.. i don't know if i'm making any sense, but i'm really confused right now. i know i should make the decision on my own, but i would like to see a different perspective or hear an opinion from other nurses about this situation. thanks!
  16. wow! congrats.. :yelclap: hope God would also allow me to pass the nclex..
  17. is this scholarship still open?
  18. i also have an interim permit but i'm having a hard time looking for jobs.. i'm afraid, my permit will be wasted..
  19. congrats!
