Pearsonvue Trick Is this TRUE? Does it work every time?
Does anyone know if the trick works immediately? or did it work immediately on anyone? I took my test around 1:00 yesterday afternoon. After I enter my school information and what board i'm obtaining a license from a box pops up that says "Our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for further assistance. Another registration can not be made at this time." Is this the message that I should be hoping to receive?!? Any advice would be helpful, for my stomach is in knots!!!

265 questions later the waiting begins :/
I took my test today and had all 265 questions!!! AHHH :) I don't know exactly if I should be happy or not, but I was definitely happy that I got to redeem myself from my first exam that stopped at 75 questions! So I was definitely pumped that the computer kept giving me a chance this time to prove myself. It took me 5 hours and 25 mintues to the exam that consisted of alot of prioritization, 3 or 4 drag and drop, 3 or 4 med calculations, and probably 15 SATA! I don't know exactly where I stand but I'm definitely feeling more confident than I did the first time so I guess we'll find out here in a couple days whether I passed or not!! Wish me luck! :)*wine

Taking NCLEX-RN for 2nd time in 1 week!!!!
thank you!! i just hope that the questions i'm practicing aren't too easy. Sometimes the Saunders questions seem a bit easier to me than nclex questions. Also I've been getting scores in b/t 75-80% in the prioritization book and a nursing professor said anything over 72% is suffice, so i'm hoping she's right!!! But I'm continuing and pressing on to get 100%!

test is on monday!
Korleone, Hi there!!! I too am retesting on Monday (the 18th) for my 2nd time, so i feel ya on so many levels!! I was so devistated after I failed the first time. But it always seemed that all the way through nursing school I was always right on the line of passing/failing and always had to work my butt off...guess this is the same battle. There are two ways you can look at failure. One being i failed and I give up, and another being I failed so next time I'm trying harder. We are going to be great nurses whenever our time comes, there is a time and a place for everything, and for some reason the world isn't ready for us yet....but on Monday, May 18th....the world better look out b/c we are coming back with a vengience and conquering NCLEX!!! Remember you are not alone, and we WILL make it thru NCLEX!!! Good luck to you!!!

Taking NCLEX-RN for 2nd time in 1 week!!!!
So, I'm taking NCLEX exactly one week from today for the 2nd time and I definitely think I feel more prepared then I did the first time.....however feeling prepared and actually being prepared are completely different matters!! The first time I took Kaplan and went to all the classes and did all the question trainers and got a passing score on the readiness test and thought I was prepared enough. Well I took NCLEX and failed at 75 questions. All you hear everyone say is "Do questions and understand the rationales." This may be true and work for some people, but honestly, it didn't work for me. So I decided to pick myself up and develop my own study plan. I bought Saunders 4th edition and Linda Charity's Prioritization, Delegation, and Assigment...feeling quite confident in my study materials I jumped back on the NCLEX wagon and started studying. First of all I went through all 76 chapters in Saunders and took the quizzes first, so I figured out pretty fast where my weaknesses were. Then I used the Saunders CD and took the Assessment Test (this part is really cool) it formulated a 6 week plan compromised of all 76 chapters. So 7 weeks ago I started reading; I felt my biggest downfall in preparing for NCLEX the first time was not being as familiar as I should with the background information. This time that is not stopping me!! Well now is my final week of preparation I'm doing strictly questions and going through my prioritization book cover to cover. I'm not doing anything the same as I did with the first exam, hehe I'm kinda superstitious that way!!! The only thing that worries me is that I'm getting at least 75-80% on my Saunders quizzes and tests and I kinda feel that the questions are easier than NCLEX so I hope I'm still prepared enough.....hopefully this time next week I will walk out of taking my test with my head held high and have some good news for ya'll!! I have faith in myself that I will conquer NCLEX :)

Tried kaplan didn't work.. Saunders alone, is it better??
I also used Kaplan my first time, and unfortunately I didn't pass either. I was getting in the 50s-60s on the Q-Banks as well. And when it came down to my Readiness test I scored in the passing range and still failed! For me, I don't think Kaplan helped, but that is just my take on it. I am retesting again in May and have been reading Saunders 4th edition since I found out I failed in Feb. I do think that the questions in Saunders are alot easier than NCLEX it does help tremendously on getting a good grasp on the background information to be able to answer the prioritization questions. Keep your head up!!!

Comprehensive Report
So I failed the NCLEX for my first time 0n 2/17 and have picked myself up and have been studying everday since then and am retesting again in May....however I got my comprensive report in the mail and it said i was near passing on 4 areas and below passing on 4 areas. And what really stinks is i did the worst on the easiest stuff! clearly i over thought alot of stuff....Does anyone know if you have to be above passing in all of the 8 areas for NCLEX to pass you?

Took NCLEX on 2/17 and failed
Well now Suzanne's plan is gone any more options?!?!

Is it a guarantee for a 75 q passed?
It is definitely not a guarantee because I had 75 questions and failed, but I wish you the best of luck!

Humiliation and embarassment after NCLEX failure
PASS BECAUSE WE ARE GOOD NURSES AND KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING, NOT JUST BECAUSE OF *LUCK*!!!!

Humiliation and embarassment after NCLEX failure
I agree with you becase I also have some friends that didn't study. For example one of the girls I was really good friends with in nursing school who always relied on everyone else went to the bar the night before her test, took the test the next day with 265 questions, walked out laughing that she knew she failed, and passed!! It is so frustrating especially if you are like me and studied what seemed like forever!!!! But to be completely honest....I'm sure their time will come and I honestly would not want a nurse like that caring for me. It may not be tomorrow, next week, next month, or even 2 years from now, but sometime their so called "LUCK" is going to run out and I hope and pray to God that they didn't hurt or worse yet kill someone because they had "bad luck" with what they were doing. When we pass we will pass for the right reasons and be better nurses becasue of this experience!!! I'm thinking about you!! Keep your head up!!! WE WILL

took nclex today, have not stopped shaking since
QueenRuby, I know exactly how you feel and I feel the same way you do, but I've heard alot of good things abouts Suzane's plan and think I'm going to try that. I also thought I prepared to the best of my ability, I took Kaplan and studied more for this than anything in my life. Believe it or not, it does get better. I know you don't want to even think about preparing to study again as that was my first thought after I found out I failed, but now I think I'm going through the grieving process and now I'm feeling like I want to start studying again because I know I can do it. Life is full of disapointments and set-backs, and for some odd-reason this is one of ours, but I assure you that once we get that license we will not once take it for granted and will probably be better nurses because of it. Keep your head up and remember "God doesn't give you more than you can handle."

Took NCLEX on 2/17 and failed
Thank you to everyone who has replied to my posting!! It is soo good to hear all of your kind comments and concerns. It is also good to know that noone is alone in this. It's been a couple days now and I think I'm starting to do better, it's kinda like going through the grieving process!! haha :) I think I've felt every emotion since finding out my results. I can go from laughing to crying in a matter of seconds, but the one thing that keeps playing over in my head is how much I'm going to appreciate that license once I do get it. And I can guarantee I will be a better nurse because of this. I truly believe that things happen for a reason, and I don't know what mine is yet, but I'm sure there is a legitamate reason. Remember God never gives you more than you can handle!! This site has helped me so much, thank you to all!!!

according to the "unofficial" results on the pearson website I failed so I'm pretty sure they are right.
