I do not know about any of the other programs but I am a current GPC student and I think they are doing great, especially since they are now juggling two campuses on one basically. This is only my 1st semester so maybe others are higher levels, I don't know. But really ANY nursing school is going to be hard, ANY school is going to have good professors and bad ones. I heard so many horror stories about GPC that I was expecting it to be horrific. But I chose to look at the positive over the negative. They do graduate students so obviously it can be done and I am determined to be one of them. As for their reputation, I have spoken to nurses from Dekalb Medical and Emory midtown and they all said GPC grads are highly respected. I have spoken to a woman who was asking me about GPC's program and she told me that she spoke to someone at Emory and they told her that Emory would hire a GPC grad over an Emory grad; that shocked not only her but me also. That being said, I have been told from my own research that GPC grads know their stuff!

Yes, WOO HOO indeed! I am so ready for a break!! I just finished A&P I, Health and Wellness and a pre-nursing class that's offered at my school. I received all As. I just took the NET this past Saturday (everybody pray for me please ) Once I receive my results for that will determine whether I can apply to the nursing program for the Fall semester. Just 4 more pre-reqs to finish up. Enjoy your Holiday everyone!

Yes, our professor told us the same. As someone else said, it's not the anatomy part that killed me but the physiology. We just got our test grades back and I got a B (my other scores were As) and I STILL don't have a complete grasp on it! :grn:

I am also taking A&P now, (part I). I think it is a mixture of what the others have said. It all depends on your learning style, your interest in the subject (and that goes for any subject because if there is a natural interest there you will find studying and learning the material fascinating and fun), and the style of the teacher cannot be over emphasized. I go to rate my professor every semester! Also, like another poster said, this is not a subject that you can just memorize and forget when its over; we have to actually LEARN this material because we will need it not only for nursing school but our careers. It is challenging but can be done. My A&P class gets most of my time and focus and I knew that my science classes would have to from the start. Therefore my advice would be to take easier classes along with your science classes this way you can devote the time and energy to them that they need. I'm sure you'll do fine. Good luck!
